Or just help newbies with the SOE final missions in fleet and you get a share of their faction standings.

I believe this is considered an exploit, so I really wouldn't recommend it.

Faction Warfare missions will result in promotions and those in faction standing. Few afternoons or evenings and half of empire space will kiss your ass.
I actually found gaining faction standing this way much easier and faster than corp standing through regular missions.

You are correct.

Left click, left click, right click, left click, right click, left click, left click, left click & drag, left click, left click.
Wait 3-5 minutes.
Left click, left click, left click.
Wait 3-5 minutes.

Repeat 16 times.

Do storyline mission - this actually requires reading the mission text!

EDIT: If anyone interested.
Request mission, accept mission, right click, add waypoint, right click, add way point, select hanger, click & drag deliverable to cargo hold, undock, autopilot.
Wait.
Completed mission, undock, autopilot.
Wait.
The first thing to do is train up the various Social skills asap, at least to level 4. Level 5 for best results.

Instead of grinding 16 missions to get a Storyline offer, you can work various Event Agents that give Faction standing increase.

Basically everything you need to know about gaining Faction standing has been listed in 'The Plan'.

Stop what you are doing RIGHT NOW SmileCool There's a much faster way to gain faction standing... and I'm talking about from -10.00 (without skills) to enough faction standing to enroll in Factional Warfare for that faction in a matter of 2-3 relaxed afternoons of playing:

  1. Tutorial agents - each faction has 3 sets of 5 agents. Completing the series (5-6 missions in a series) of missions from one agent will give you a decent faction standing boost. Note that you will get the faction standings only ONCE. Doing more than one series of missions for any tutorial agent will NOT grant you additional faction standing. Most of the mission objectives for the tutorial missions that require one are available on contracts in systems where the agents are located (to speed things up a bit more);

  2. When you are done with the tutorial agents, head over to Data centers for that particular faction. You can there exchange tags (bought on the market) for faction standing. You can do this ONLY once with your character as well;

  3. When you are done with Data centers, head over to COSMOS constellation for that faction. Pick only the missions that require you to bring a mission objective, buy that from the market/contracts and hand it over to the agent. COSMOS agents that offer faction standing can be activated ONLY ONCE as well.
  4. - Caldari COSMOS guide: http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/jowen/Caldari_COSMOS_guide_by_Jowen_Datloran_v.0.5.pdf
    - Amarr COSMOS guide: http://go-dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/jowen/Amarr_COSMOS_guide_by_Jowen_Datloran_v1.2.pdf
    - Minmatar COSMOS guide: http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/0610/AniCOSMOSv6.002.pdf
    - Gallente COSMOS guide: https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Gallente_COSMOS_Guide
You don't have to read or follow the entire guide... just pick the missions with faction standings which require an easily obtainable (read: cheap) objective from them.

  5. If after doing all 3 things above doesn't provide you with enough faction standing, go to the space of its allied faction and repeat all 3 above for that faction. Caldari and Amarr are friendly, so if you gain faction standing with Amarr by doing the Amarr side of tutorial agents, data centers and COSMOS, you will also gain a decent amount of standing for Caldari as well. Minmatar and Gallente are also working this way.

I have personally done this in Algos in about 2-3 days Blink

I applaud your enthusiasm and the amount of work you put into this post. I gotta say it almost looks like a condensed plagiarized version of the 'Faction Standing Repair Plan', otherwise known as 'The Plan'.

Most of the info you posted is good but you left out some important info as well as posted some incorrect info.

The easiest and most important thing to do is train up the various social skills. That will increase the amount of standing gained as well as decrease the amount of time needed to achieve the desired amount of standing.

1. Due to the description you posted, I believe you actually meant to link the Career Agents. All Career Agents give Faction standing increase after completing their 10 part mission series. That's 15 Career Agents (3 sets of 5 agents) per Faction and since they're Event Agents, yes they can only be completed once but they all give Faction standing increase.

The Tutorial Agents you linked are currently unavailable due to being forced into early retirement.

3. I liked your advice for running the Cosmos Agents, very good for an Industrial / Market based character. The guides you linked are ok but there's also other guides available which might be easier to read / navigate. The OP can just Google for Cosmos Guides. My favorite Cosmos Guide links are listed in 'The Plan'.

As I said earlier, I commend you on the effort and time spent posting the info.

+1 on cosmos, do the tags for standings agents as late as possible, they work on percentage increases.

Actually you want to do the Tags early. They are remainder percentage like resist modules. So if you have a 1.00 with Amarr and you get 5% for a tag turn in, you get 5% of 9.0 (.45 increase) where as if you have 7.0 with Amarr you turn in for 5% you get 5% of 3.00 for the tag. (.15 increase)

Unless I'm VERY wrong that's how all standing increases work.

OP was writing about hauling missions so mini game would pop up every time your warp drive engages Blink

I agree, we should have "random encounters" that force us to play a minigame when entering warp some of the time! As an example, your engineer might get a hotdog stuck in the warp drive, and you have to play a minigame to remove it, or a super powerful extraterrestrial being could turn you into a dog for a period of time and you have to convince him to turn you back by barking in the right sequence!

You are correct.

Any source on this being an exploit? I routinely help new players with dagan and didn't realize I would end up with any of their faction standings bonus (especially since I don't ask them to share mission rewards). I had heard from another source that the faction standings were not shared as a normal part of the mission rewards and assumed I wasn't getting any.
