Cant be in two places at the same time, jumping back though would cause an arriving before you left and you're simply not allowed to do that.

I got this a few times the other night travelling through Sinq. I have a feeling it's related to TiDi, did they roll that out yet?

Leaves only the fresh scent of pine.

I think you're confusing the word 'funny' with the word 'ironic'.

Should be complaining about this to Einstien not CCP, he is the one in control of space and time.

What actually happened is that you blinked.

During that long interval of blinking your eyelids, you actually did jump through the gate.
A Quantum singularity happened to be in your approach spot. You entered it and were instantly transferred back to your point of origin just before the jump.

The Stargate code, not being able to cope with the sudden re-appearance of your ship which it had recorded as "just sent through", went into "fumble" mode and slapped an extended timer on your ship. This prevents the AI aboard the Stargates from going stark-raving mad and thus crashing.

Other than that, I too have had the same thing happen to me on more than one occassion. It's a fail-jump. Code needs time to reset and recover.

This seems to happen when you jump between 20 and 30 seconds after jumping last. i.e. seems the session change timer is buggy.

It's happening to me in WH space, not Kspace.

Had this happen when moving around in a really fast ship the other day. In K-space. On a gate, not a wormhole.

This instability during jumping has happened to me too.

I bet this is causing hell for the macro hauler out there as you need to click "Ok" to get focus back on eve UI. I wonder if CCP is trialing a sort of macro defence.

If this is the above then CCP just needs to randomise the location and colour of the message box to beat the OCR bots out there.

Or it could just be a session change timer bug :)

Getting this occasionally, too. Any chance of a dev comment?

It's particularly bad that it shows up as a pop-up you have to click to dismiss.

EDIT: Got it again, and checked. It's actually a modal dialog. Pretty bad if you are reapproaching in combat.

consider for a moment that CCP actually replaced the "session change in progress" message that you get when you try to activate a gate inside your 30 second session change window, with a message that is somewhat more specific.

yes kids, its a new error message. Deal with it

and I'm slightly confused, I thought the station session change timer was reduced, but I didn't think the gate timer got changed and AFAIK it is still 30 seconds

All session timers were supposed to be 20s now. If there's a stealth extra 10s, that's bad. Especially as the new error message is modal.

well I never actually timed the little timer gizmo, so it could be 20, point is its a new message replacing the crappy old one
