As we enter a mew age of character creation in eve online,
i thought it would make sense to have a proper calender ready when hyperion hits ...
... and then build up from that with new pieces we get.

Everyone who will participate will receive 100mill for the efforts ...
... i know thats not much but you are having fun with the glitch too, so fair :) ...
... when i publish the pictures.

the best of each episode will receive an extra 100mill. :)

I ask you people, who want to participate, to not publish their images,
if you want it to be in a calender next with other images. (:
You'd just spoil it, which would be kind of sad. :)


If you are interested, please post in here and send me a mail with links to the pictures! :)


Please understand that this is more about images made with the glitch.
You can send me as many images as you want, even from the creation stage,
but PLEASE don't send ONLY images made in that stage!

I am editing this post for some rules and other stuff.


First of all ... all images need to be provided in unmodified versions.

I am totally happy about having a seperate section containing modified images
but the primary should be about unmodified ones, because not everyone has skills in image manipulation.

Those who have, though, I don't want to be left out.


Registering an imgur-account ( http://www.imgur.com ) for images is straightforward and easy.
Please remember to active HQ uploads in the settings and setting the default publishing option to "Private".
If you use a different service that's fine too, as long as image quality isn't getting compromised.

Please note that imgur compresses images above 5MB of size.


A good alternative is dropbox ( http://www.dropbox.com ) ! But beware that screenshots created
and automatically uploaded via dropbox will contain the titlebar, so you have to move the actual
files from the eve folder in your resepective dropbox folder yourself, but it's easy and superconvinient to work with!

Any service is great though, as long as its not too slow and compromises image quality!



In regards to image quality and stuff.

CTRL+F9 hides the UI. All images with UI on it will be rejected, obviously.
If you can not set your gfx settings to high ... that is kind of sad ... but most likely not your fault.
AntiAliasing is definitely a must, though, because jagged images are just horrible!


Then there's the thing about putting your screen into portrait-mode. Most notebooks,
and I assume desktops, have an option to rotate the screen using the right mouse button on the desktop.

There is usually an option also hidden in the screen settings somewhere. I, personally, have set myself
a hotkey to this (the software provides the option) so I can easily switch into portrait mode.

That means that your images will not be 1920x1080 (example) but 1080x1920 and will provide
MUCH MORE PIXEL per character, compared to landscape mode where most pixels are used for background.


I also reserve the right for myself to modify images a bit,
like adding highres skin textures when they make sense.

CCP does not provide proper skin textures themselves,
but I can plant them onto the images and they actually add a lot of detail, even when barely noticeable.

I do not want to modify any of your work,
but when I see something I will play around with it and let the creator know, obviously. :)


Also ... no monocles or fake eyes!


The goggles only if they really work for the picture, but not to hide eyes!

If you wanna hide eyes or think your head has a weird form ...
... then try different haircuts! They change the viewer's perception!

Well ... everything goes. Modifying images is a no go though and i will
reserve this right to myself in case i find bugs in the images or something.

this keeps the playing field fair, because not everyone has skills for image manipulation.

i would absolutely like a seperate section for modified images like niden does,
so feel free to do whatever you want too! :D

i will write a rules section when at home, my thoughts are chaotic right now. (:

I know your machine is rather older ... you can't provide AntiAliasing iiirc,
that's kind of a downer, but maybe there's something that can be done.

thus I figured it's older. No offense intended, just counted the wrong numbers together I guess. (:
