Okay first off, DISCLAIMER, it's only like 40% done. Angles are HARD mkay?!

I'm loving how it's looking so far with the top half of armor plates and the wingy bits :D The odd green and blue colours in the middle are not final, they're more for keeping all the bits straight in my head.

Anyway here's an animation of it building to some deadspace music, sorry if you get a seizure from some of the sub assemblies flashing around, I wanted to not bore you with every single part being attached.

http://youtu.be/ous-Ogwjtc8

I don't know how feasible it'll be to make it into any semblance of a set since half the parts I've used I'm not even sure exist in that color.

Since the bottom armor plates are gonna be a ***** (they're just two massive continuous pieces) I might put my next focus on the back half with the engines and the bridge.

EDIT:
Experimental Bridge and Engines:

I don't like how those two smaller side engines are looking so I'll prob redo those
Bridge
Engines

EDIT2:
Experimental Engines and Bridge combined:

Yeah, the engines seem pretty derpy without all the stuff in the middle. No attempts were made to make these crude attachments to actually match the model in anyway, just eye-ballin and guesstimating. Oh and I fitted a 220mm in the middle for lolz
Front
Back

EDIT3:
DONE!~ loljk

Just more mock ups, again adding things with very rough eyeballing and I got the large wingy bits on now. I also moved the engines a little, that one on top was way to tall. I also added some really ****** mock up armor plates on the bottom. Just 2 massive plates held together with a third long plate. I also fitted 5 turrets (10 physical guns) in the same configuration my sleipnir has.

So, idk what it is about the Eve Online community, but I get to see some of the coolest crap in the galaxy, or at least within ten jumps, happen in it. People ask me why I continue to play a game that I acknowledge steals my soul, and the answer is "**** like this". Keep up the good work. Big smile

Xercodo is this the one you and I were talking about in chat the other night? It looks amazing. When you get it done, feel free to eve mail me a link to the ldd file. I might actually try building one.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Nice - so when you've made it in whatever program this is can you get a list of lego part numbers to order and make a real one?

I vaguely remember someone was trying to make a yacht in the shape of a Hurricane. Then again I might have dreamt that up some vivid midsummer night.

It was a drake, iirc. (they were using the outboard panels to connect to pontoons).

Fort hose with a makerbot -> 3D Printed Drake

And a bunch of other Eve Online related 3D model things -> Linkie

I believe so, or at least some part numbers that are close. Like I said in the OP I'm not even sure half of the part exist in that color.

Yeah probably, though I'm not familiar with your alts, cause I don't recall talking to this character you're posting with :3

Oops Ah, yeah...*cough*...it is one of my alts in the Help Reloaded channel.

I always assumed they used Lego models to design their Caldari ships any way...

So, you're a bounty hunter. No, that ain't it at all. Then what are you? I'm a bounty hunter.

I'm pretty sure that you can actually order your kit, exactly as built, from Lego whenever you use LDD. It's a Lego-sanctioned program with that functionality. Also, AWESOME!

They discontinued that years ago which is where CUUSOO came from and why we had the campaign for EVE players to vote on it.

Or so I heard.

The problem here is that I'm using "extended" which means I have free reign over which parts and colors I use. Hell I could make the whole thing "windshield clear" if I wanted, but clearly not all those parts exist.

Great, I can see it already: Lego EVE Online

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.
