Eve Rental Service

Introducing Eve Rental Service! A new and cheap way to master the eve universe. Why buy a ship you only need for a day or even a week? Tired of holding onto ships you use sparingly? Tired of worrying about initial investments and not recovering losses? Just plain tired of playing the eve market for ships? If so then Eve Rental is for you.

Eve rental is a fast and convient way of paying for what you need and recovering your losses in a safe and scam free way.
Details: Lets say you want to rent a Freighter. You evemail or talk to me and i will contract you the desired freighter for the Current Jita price. Once you are done using the freighter you can contract it back to us for your money back minus the daily fee. There is no scam to be had since your are taking the full ship for the exact selling price! We dont limit you to what you can do with the ship or how you can use it. The ship becomes yours to do with as you wish during the rental time. Note that if the ship is destroyed or is not returned there will be no repayment of funds.

Currently as a working model we are only testing freighters (Providence, Fenrir, Obelisk, Charon). If the model is successful we will be opening up new ships for the rental service. Please allow 24hrs for delivery of your desired ship.

The current Freighter rental price is 15M a day

Nice service. Though there's not that much of an incentive currently to rent a ship over buying it. This is where I see the issue:

I buy a ship and sell after a week:
I buy a Freighter for 840M. I use it a week and sell it to a buy order for 810M. I lost only 30M.

- I rent a ship for a week:
I rent a Freighter for 840M. I pay 15M per day, that is 95M in fees. I give it back for m 840M, but I'm still 95M worse.

So while renting a ship instead of buying one could have been interesting, is it unfortunately in the above case not, as I'm still better buying the ship on the market and selling it again for a loss instead of paying the rent.

Further, are you delivering anywhere at the Jita price? If so, that could be an argument to rent one over buying it at the location one is, as it might be more expensive there or none available on market (as it sometimes is the case with Freighters in some regions).

Just some thoughts to help you make the service better... maybe I'm gonna be your customer one day if the incentive is bigger over buying a ship ;)

Thanx for the input. Its still a work in progress wanted to check the water and see how it goes. Perhaps if its only a day or two at a clip it would benefit someone to do a rental. Delivery is also an option for the future but time is money in eve so im unsure if the costs could be the same.
