Hello fellow capsulers and lazy DEVS. I will probably motivate you (devs) to hard work.

The problem is well known to everyone cloaky afk campers - coercers. CCP created fantastic platform for real money coerce.

SCREEN

For thoes who are afraid of external links I will quote this statment from corporation bulletin.

Quote:
We are a group of individuals from all different parts of eve with one objective, to camp you.

Convo an individual if you want to make a deal (monthly)
1500m if paid right away, +250m for every kill before paid

Honor All Ransoms

As stated above we honor all ransoms, if a 3rd party is needed we will allow for it

Any ransom paid applies to all camping members of our corp. Each character in this corporation is a camper, we will never camp you on other alts once paid, this is a business our business is to get paid or get kills and move on once job is completed (i.e. once ransom is paid or once you no longer live there)

We drop 3rd parties in the area we are camping and are wormhole friendly. We opperate on ransoms and loot.

To have a system camped.
1. Let a member of our corp know that you would like a system camped
2. Identify the system in a mail with system name and potential targets
3. Know that a standard price is 250m to move a character to that system to disrupt there money making abilities (Disclaimer: We will not camp a system that is uninhabitted)
4. Our Camping/Ransom rules apply, if a system we have been paid to camp pays us to leave we will leave. This does not violate the camping agreement as we have successfully disrupted there money making abilities by having them pay us a lump sum.

We do appreciate hate mail

Generaly I'm buying PLEXs for real hard earned cash which I later change for in game currency ISK. Someone wants to coerce my ISK - goods that I bought for rl cash and this is considered crime. 1500mil ISK is something about 30 EURO that this person wouldn't pay to CCP because I did it. If the mechanic of the game allows this happen then it makes CCP look as if they are fencing the stolen property.

I'm actually considering to revoke my last payment to CCP, and sue CCP in Polish court. I'm only waiting for response from CCP if they going to change the mechanic of EVE to avoid this kind of situation.
I will also talk to few editors of gamer magazines and put some light on this rigamorole..

You mean "Coercion"

Coercion is the practice of forcing another party to act in an involuntary manner by use of intimidation or threats or some other form of pressure or force.

So who threatened, Forced intimidated you in this?

You purchased intangible goods with your money. It just so happens that those intangible goods A: remain the property of CCP, as per the EULA, and B: have no real world value once purchased.

Extortion and coercion are valid game-play options in Eve.

Have fun with the Polish Courts btw, you agreed to waive your right to any legal protections not outlined below when you accepted the EULA.

Quote:
GOVERNING LAW AND EXCLUSIVE FORUM
The EULA, and the rights and obligations of the parties hereto, shall be governed and construed by and in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Iceland. The EULA shall not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

The sole and exclusive forum for resolving any controversy, dispute or claim arising out of or relating to the EULA, or otherwise relating to any rights in, access to or use of the Software, System, Game, Game Content, User Content and/or the rights and obligations of the parties hereto, shall be the District Court of Reykjavík, Iceland, (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur). You hereby expressly waive and agree not to raise any and all objections based on personal jurisdiction, venue and/or inconvenience of such forum and agree to the jurisdiction of the District Court of Reykjavík, Iceland.

Your lawyer will read the EULA and tell you that you haven't got a leg to stand on.

Hi,
I'm a qualified space attorney, and for a generous one-time deposit of 400 million ISK to this character I will resolve this issue with the campers for you.

oh boy, lets get technical.

you know why it doesn't count as coercment? It's not your isk or plex to begin with. everything ingame (including PLEX belongs to CCP. So they can do or not do whatever the hell they want with it. And yes, the PLEX is theirs. You are simply purchasing the rights to use a token in-game. Because if CCP decides to confiscate it because of ban or something, there is no refund, because its not yours.

So you haven't lost anything.

Now that that's out of my system...

HAHAHAHahahahahaHAHAHA-*cough*-ahaHAHAHAHA! Let me get my pickaxe because this thread is pure gold!

I am taking this break from laughing so hard that I gave myself a hernia to bring you this important announcement.

If you are actually serious in your posting, I may just need a new pair of lungs.

As it stands, you owe me medical fees for fixing my hernia that was caused by my laughing at you.

That makes more sense than what you are saying.
