Launcher won't.. launch through Steam

Recent issue, started happening last week.

ISSUE:
When I press play from the Steam Library I get 'Preparing to launch Eve Online...' for a second and then it disappears.

When I try and manually launch these .exe's I get the same issue, nothing happens (even as admin):
\Steam\steamapps\common\Eve Online\launcher\launcher.exe
\Steam\steamapps\common\Eve Online\eve.exe

The repair.exe works fine.




I have tried; a complete re-install of EVE, using the repair.exe and using Steams 'verify integrity of game cache', running all of these as an administrator. None of these have had an effect.

The launcher .exe found here Steam\steamapps\common\Eve Online\launcher\appdata\EVE_Online_Launcher-2.1.655130.win32\launcher.exe works fine.. but obviously I can't use my steam account to log in to this launcher.



Any possible solutions would be welcome! Alternatively, when will CCP offer free character moves away from Steam accounts?

Did you try renaming(/removing) the folder Steam\steamapps\common\Eve Online\launcher\cache\

I have a similar problem but deleting that folder did not help.
