Stop having ships automatically "straighten" at warp end...

Once a ship stops moving or at the end of a warp without any movement order, it would be nice for ships to stay in their exact position and orientations rather than automatically straighten up (unless of course they bump simtehing in which case the reaction movement to that is totally fine....)

I agree. I should not have to be on the move just to be pointed at something. It's part of the strategy planning.

If your velocity is zero, the direction you are facing has no effect on anything except MJD mechanics.

Having said that, the automatic "straightening up" is a relic from before MJDs existed. It was never a problem before because it never had an effect on gameplay. That has changed now and I agree that it should be removed on these grounds.

Yeah serverside the ships are stored as a direction with a velocity, when you're speed gets to 0, everything goes out the window and the clientside sets the alignment of the ship. This is why when you jump into a system and are on gate, regardless of orientation, with identical stats, you'll align and warp jsut as fast.
