EFT gives me an estimate but I'd like to see what EVE thinks my drones are putting out - especially as they are affected by modules.

I don't believe that function exist. You basically have to do the math. Mod + Skills + ship bonus = drone range.

Undock, target corp mate who is very far away to see your drone control range. get closer to the corpie and attack with drones to see the dps.

Drone dps shows up in the fitting window. Note that it's the highest dps flight that's inside your drone bay, so if you're carrying 5x ogres and 5x hobs you'll see the damage of the ogres on the fitting window. If you then launch the ogres you'll see the damage of the hobs on the fitting window.

that's ridiculous
(not the solution but the state of the fitting window)

What do you mean by an estimate? EFT will produce the same DPS numbers in game.

I meant a drone DPS/Range number shown by CCP software while Eve is running. Like how I can get probe strength in game.

I think the point is that it isn't really an estimate. EFT tends to be more accurate than the fitting screen for such things.

Optimal range and falloff show up if you show info on drones in the bay (not in space) though I believe that may have been broken at some stage.

The favored unlikely conspiracy theory is CCP are not fixing the drones interface becasue they intend to remove drones completely eventually due to TIDI or grrr goons or something.

This, the ingame fitting screen incorrectly displays a bunch of things. EFT is far more accurate.

The Coreli Corporation is recruiting.

While you're undocked right click on the drone in question that is in your drone bay and show info it actually shows the correct stats as far as range but for drone control range you have to guess that I know a well fit ishtar can hit out to 140k

EFT shows it but its a rather counter-intuitive right click option to display it.

Its easy enough to calculate:

20km (base drone control range) +
5km per level of Drone Avionics skill +
3km per level of Advanced Drone Avionics skill +
20/24/26km (T1/T2/Faction) per Drone Link Augmentor module +
15/20km (T1/T2) per Drone Control Range Augmentor rig +
(5km per level of Heavy Assault Ships if flying an Ishtar)

EFT does not provide more accurate info. Do not rely on EFT to be 100% accurate. Always try out your fit ingame or on the test server (SISI).

I also believe the OP is trying to get stats on sentry drone damage at different ranges to determine falloff damage and optimal damage; and to determine what will be the likely damage output at those ranges.

EFT may not be 100% accurate all the time but it is far more accurate than any of the in game tools.

No, because while it might look good on paper; actually flying the ship in game is the best way to test a fit.

True, but once you have done that a few dozen times its not hard to look at the EFT stats and get a good feel for how a ship will perform.
