[Release!]: Various Artists - New Eden Logs (Eng)

PROJECT: New Eden Logs

Recent sleeper activity has forced many of our brothers and sisters to join the research race. Our corporation couldn't resist the taste of glory and, of course, money. However, due to complete lack of resources, we had to kneel down before industry giants and find a way to be noticed for something less grandiose than Neural Network Analyzers or Sleeper Data Libraries.

On our journey we have managed to receive a package of small sleeper data chips. After inspection of this package, we have confirmed our suspicions that they contain no useful or valuable information.

A request was made for help from a neural specialist in the Servant Sisters of EVE. Her identity will remain undisclosed, as per our corporate confidentiality policy. She has given a detailed report on the data from the chips and it was determined that the stored information is a compressed combination of melodies, noise and sound waves.

With our own further research and development, we have managed to create a three-hour long compilation of musical compositions. While we could not reveal all of the details of our research, you can of course still join us by enjoying our work - New Eden Logs are available for download directly to your Egonics headset right now.

A couple of questions that was not answered in the original post

1. Will the compilation be free or will it be sold for IRL cash?

2. Will I as an artist be able to keep copyright control of the tracks (as in can I still put them on soundcloud, give them away for free, use them in videos, allow friends to use them in videos etc regardless of the answer in 1)

3. If the compilation is sold for IRL cash will I as a contributor get royalty from sales?

Well they are imortant questions.

As soon as someone starts talking about collaboration I am like, Oh, cool. I want others to hear my music too!

I am a hobby mucisian like many others, and there are a lot of really tallented people out there that beats mainstream music with a stick... but they are not famous, so only a handful of people actually listen to the music they make... that is why colabberations like this is such a great idea.

Then I read label... and labels are about making money... and music today is BIG business... or if you will... BIG money.

I noted that non of the tracks on the label soudcloud account is available for download, so I feel that my fears are well grounded. My own soundcloud account, where I am my own biggest fan, have all tracks available for download as a comparison...

A collaboration that is free to use in videos, free to download, free to listen to etc sounds great and I am all ears, but words like Label an LP freaks me out since my experience tells me that they are there to RESTRICT the use of the music, so sorry if I put i gigantic stopper in your project, but I will be damned if I give my music away for free so that someone else can make big bucks from it without giving me a piece of the pie.

Dont get me wrong 3x PLEX is nice and all... but selling a perpetual license for roughly €60... or actually CCP is the ones giving the PLEX away so giving away the music for free, while the people behind the label stand to makes thousands of € if the compilation is up for sale seems like selling your soul for nickles and dimes...

Only free engine. Everyone who wants to get a full compilation download for FOC (free).

All tracks will be licensed by Creative Commons (on side of the artist):

Stage 1 "Attribution" - You let others copy, distribute, display, and perform your copyrighted work but only if they give credit the way you request.
Stage 2 "Noncommercial" - You let others copy, distribute, display, and perform your work — and derivative works based upon it — but for noncommercial purposes only.
Stage 3 "Share Alike" - You allow others to distribute derivative works only under a license identical to the license that governs your work.

but, the net-label rem.fever does not have the right, if you subsequently change the name of the track and untie him from the universe EVE, stop you in your tracks for sale (without net-label).

Net-Label - rem.fever was created for information support and collect of the full compilation .ie label does not assign your tracks
