Make good use to corpse of players

Hi there!

Maybe somebody already had that idea or something similar, but I didn't find anything about "corpse".

So actually the corpse of a player is just something worthless (related to ISK) in your hangar, only useful for the hunters in EVE collecting some trophies.


But what about implementing some skills to manipulate the medi-clones, injecting some kind of virus, so the respawned player can get mali in his/her skills for some time?


How should that work?

1. Implementing a few skills:
examples: Biology Manipulation, Viral Persistence, Viral Strength, Viral Precision, Multiple Viral Strands

So as basic skill you need Biology 4 to skill Biology Manipulation
Biology Manipulation 4 to skill Viral Persistence and Viral Strength
and Viral Persistence 4 + Viral Strength 4 to get to Multiple Viral Strands and Viral Precision


Skill Biology Manipulation
You are able to manipulate the data of capsuleer, causing a temporary dysfunction on the skills of the target for a short time.
Each skillpoint gives an additional 5% bonus to cause such a dysfunction.

Skill Viral Persistence
By injecting more complex manipulated strings into the medical data of a capsuler you enhance the duration the target is affected by this dysfunction.
Each skillpoint gives an additional 20% bonus to duration of the manipulation.

Skill Viral Strength
You know how to create more powerful manipulations.
Each skillpoint gives an additional 5% bonus on intensity of the manipulation.

Skill Viral Precision
The knowledge on how the medical data is handled allows you to manipulate it more exactly, giving you the opportunity to choose from another range of skills .
Each skillpoint let you choose a better range of skills to choose.
(Skill 0 = Trade, Social,
Skill 1 = Production, Resource Processing, Rigging
Skill 2 = Drones, Electronic Systems, Scanning, Science
Skill 3 = Armor, Engineering, Navigation, Shields
Skill 4 = Subsystems, Gunnery, Missiles, Targeting
Skill 5 = Spaceship Command)

Skill Multiple Viral Strands
You know how to manipulate medical data very well, giving you the chance to set more than one manipulation into the target.
Each skillpoint gives you another 10% chance to affect another skill, starting by 1 additional chance with skill 1.



2. Needed Facilities:
Station Medical Center - basic chance to cause a dysfunction 10%, 2 hour duration, 10% strength
Station Advanced Medical Center - basic chance to cause a dysfunction 25%, 4 hour duration, 20% strength



3. UI for Manipulation

I'm not good in drawing stuff, so I hope you can imagine that for yourself :D

You see four values connected to slide controls.

Value One: Shows the Chance to affect the target.

Example:
Basic Medical Center 10% Chance + Biologie Manipulation 4 (20% Chance) = 30% chance


Value Two: Shows the possible duration of the effects

Example:
Basic Medical Center 2 hours + Viral Persistence 4 (4x 20% = +80% duration) = 3 hours 36 minutes


Value Three: Shows the possible strength of the effect

Example:
Basic Medical Center 10% + Viral Strength 4 (4x5% = 20%) = 30%
Depending on what is effected this reduces damage, speed, resistance.... of affected skills by 30% or dropping the skill level by 1 if the skill doesn't include special attributes.


Value Four: Shows multiple fields to choose, depending on skill Multiple Viral Strands (starting by 1 up to 6) and containing the range of skills to choose depending on Viral Precision.

Example:
Viral Precision 4 and Multiple Viral Strands 3
You are able to choose Trade, Social, Production, Resource Processing, Rigging, Drones, Electronic Systems, Scanning, Science, Armor, Engineering, Navigation, Shields, Subsystems, Gunnery, Missiles, Targeting
You can set 4 fields, choosing the same or different main skill groups.

Now the game selects randomly the affected skill from the main group and maybe if the skill itself or just the modules affected by the skill get a negative effect for some time.


Slide Controls:
In addition to your skills you can set the slide controls of the first three values higher or lower, giving you a bonus or malus to each value depending on the slider of the other ones.

Example:
Value 1 slider to MAX
Value 2 slider to MIN
Value 3 slider to MIN
Giving you a bonus on your chance to affect a capsuler. 150% of 30% = 45% chance
while having mali on duration and strength: 75% of 3 hours 36 minutes and 30% strength = 2 hours 42 minutes, 22,5% strength




That's it for the start. I just got this idea out of nowhere, it just hit me suddenly :D

Other MMos already solve that.. add the skill corpse explosion. Causes 500 damage at a range of 10 km per level of the skill and consumes the corpse targeted.

Considering the nature of a Capsuleer corpse, the simpler use for them would be to make them an ingredient in a Cerebral Accelerator. +1 to +15 to all stats for 24 hrs, the corpse is just the DNA sample aspect.

The trouble with anything done with the corpse is they can be farmed. I suppose they could do a bit of old school SWG style Bio Engineering with it. If you get a 100 mill Corpse, you have a better sample source and better results. While you could get some vague intel about characters this way I don't think it would be impacting and it would prevent low SP alt farming for samples. Clone costs are going to throttle farming of a high SP corpse
