The new gates will lead to a telepresence robot set up in the CCP offices and you get to move about shooting little pickles at the developers.

(They like that stuff What? ).

Not only it is a CCP Trailer (which usually bears zero resemblance to the actual game we play) but it is also a Trailer brought out for fanfest which makes even more unlikely we will ever see this happen.

Sorry to be so cynical but after years of CCP promising the world at fanfest only to receive a much more scaled down half finished version 6 months later or it never even materialising sorry if I don't jump up and down and be all giddy.

If there is 2 truths in Eve its never believe anything you hear at fanfest and Eve Trailers are everything you wished the game would be but in reality is nothing like the game we play.

Nailed it. Also, they might have to engage with other players while they are there, and that's not going to end well :P

Some gates will lead to a Star Citizen server (if such a thing even exists), some to an Elite: Dangerous server.

In both cases, players jumping from EVE will have uber-powerful spaceships that they may use either to:

- Help players of the other two games (yeah, right What?)

- Gank them repeatedly (sounds more like it Twisted)

Make space glamorous! Is EVE dying or not? Ask the EVE-O Death-o-meter!

LOL..

The trailer that makes me laugh the most was the one for Fanfest 2012. If you don't remember it was the one where there was 2 epic battles, one in space and one on the ground.. remember Dust, yeah me neither Big smile

I love the trailer; seeing the Amarr fleet warp in was killer.

But to be blunt: spend more time and money developing the game instead of trailers please. If the game looked *and played* even half as good as the trailer I would have no reason to play anything else.

Crime, it is not a "career", it is a lifestyle.

Yes, trailers have Always been a very good depiction of how good a game or movie is and we should all totally base our judgement on said trailers.

Yes, yes I am. Thanks for noticing.

"You've opened the door to the Pandaverse.." The cloaked figure who stood beside him answered. "You've damned us all...."

The mass effect games were better than the trailers IMO.

I did find It funny that it was a gallente, caldari fleet but the amarr fleet super weapons a minmatar carrier. Must be an inside joke.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Please learn the definition of "entitled." If they're entitled, then they're allowed to go there, moreover they're entitled to go there.

If you choose to take what I said literally, you are being deliberately obtuse.

Well whatever CCP has for the future I hope eve is successful. I am especially excited for the TV show, whenever that happens to be planned. Because a tv show about eve will attract more players, and different ones as well.

unless it has as much "artistic license" in it as the comic book.

Im still of the opinion that a TV series, in 2-3 episode increments, exploring the chronicles and lore would be cool. a bunh of mini stories. then maybe with a whole season here or there devoted to a single empire. maybe a movie attaches. Like that TV show, Reign or whatever, get to see the Amarr families in all their politcal bullshit arguing and figthign eachother, with looming threats from the gallente and minmatar.

It'd be like star trek mixed with babylon 5, maybe with some Serenity or Star Wars level space fights thrown in.

Basically, like the trailers we usually get, except ALOT longer, focusing on specific events, and HEAVILY written/lore-driven. That way it doesnt even need to attract people to EVE itself, it can become its own fanbase watching the show and learning and theorizing on the lore, with developing characters, groups, threats, etc.

Of course major parts of the show could be reflected in the game, such as a system occasionally switching which Empire has it, or a new enemy appearing occasionally. Maybe occasionally a light reference to a serious player-fight that happened in null, something about "barbarians having wars at our gates" kinda stuff.

I guess kinda like what Defiance tried to do, except not as ****** as Defiance's "link" turned out to be.
