You keep saying you would have destroyed us but remember, fight three was not on a timer. We decided to take it anyway, but only your side was aware of when it would be. On a timer, we would have formed up properly, in larger numbers since we would have know about it on advance. Now maybe wed have still lost, maybe not. Now we won't know.

But given when and how the cease-fire was worked out, do you think you can deduce what your FCs thought would happen?

Yeah, I got that. That much is apparent from the quality of your posting. Don't worry, I'll adjust my expectations accordingly in the future.

I'm still not seeing your clear advantage. I don't have all the exact information on the terms, but clearly you have even less than me.

It's true you reinforced a bunch of POCOs in Veista, you got an impressive fleet together with tons of logi and ewar. We challenged it in New Caldari with the limited amount of guys we had online, your logis were on the ball. Well done. That said, those POCOs were never in any danger. They were never going to die. A randomly formed up kitchen sink fleet cannot be compared to a timed POCO defense fleet. It's not in any way comparable in numbers or logistics present.

You keep talking like you would have just walked in the next day and trashed all those POCOs, just like that. You need a reality check. This isn't the first time we had stuff reinforced and it won't be the last I'm sure. However, if history is any kind of indicator, you are very much mistaken with your claims of "RVB would have lost those POCOs anyway". This isn't our first rodeo.

I can't see him on there either. People have alts though so I take it a grain of salt.

I think you should also know Tora, your corpse is currently one of the highest valued items going around RvB. :D

I'm the director in charge of third party wars. And one of RvBs main FCs (though I didn't FC this war, my newborn's been keeping me busy) I have all the information about exactly what went down. You clearly don't. You have exactly 3 kills and 1 loss against RvB ever and none this war unless you're posting from an t. What I see here is a guy trying to pretend he's relevant. So normal C&P posting I suppose.

And yes, the privilege of owning toras corpse has some people willing to pay silly amounts. I like tora, but I find the thought of paying for a corpse a bit creepy myself Lol

Widershine was the FC who destroyed your feroxes. And yes, I know about the corps. And because that's fun, I have a gift for Tele soon.

Then that's even more confusing. Means he had someone on our comms during the fight? Did he not hear us say that we were taking the fight for fun despite not being ready and that wed have a much better response on the actual timer?

Maybe it was him wanting to get out of the war on a high note and being afraid to fight us on timer that led to the surrender eh? (See I know that's not the case, but it makes as much sense as his silly posturing)

I know tora at least has better Intel than that so I must be getting trolled.

We took that fight despite we were clearly outnumbered, just because we were eager to get some action in. I mean, you guys had a 100+ battleship fleet with practically 1 logi for every 2 Feroxes we had. You could pretty much match our logi numbers with just the EW you had. In those circumstances, it's obvious you were going to come out on top. Despite that clear disadvantage, we still did a fair bit of damage. We just wanted some fun, glad to see we were both entertained. :)

He also the FC that got his entire Catalyst support fleet ganked 2 min later and then got locked inside the New Caldari stations for half an hour? :P

Well, as unflagging as your bravado seems to be, I'm merely pointing out that the people who have a say in these sort of things seemed to share my opinions of the likely outcome of a repeat engagement. Our tryout fleet pretty solidly creamed your 70+ doctrine gang, and based on the manner various ships on either side of the fight died during that engagement you would have needed somewhere near double the numbers to contest THAT fleet. Much less a reinforced timer-fleet the next day, even given timezone concerns. I could be wrong, but it's academic: engaging ounumbered for fun notwithstanding, the outcome of the second fight would come down almost entirely to TZ shenanigans.

I'm not saying you failed or that you did badly, but the winds of fate were not with you that fight. The numbers were not there, and the weight of force was not on your end of the scales. Given the somewhat sub-optimal mix we got out of the joint fleet opposite you, it would have taken a significant escalation indeed to match the numbers we were likely to yield for the timer fleet.

I'm sure you've seen your share of rodeos, but you ain't the only clown out here.

I know the full story and I think both sides are trying to make their own story, just a bit better looking then needed. The war is over, GSE and RvB are ok with it all. If it was a war from just Marmites, then it would be my call. But since it wasn't, I will respect the current situation and move on.

And yes, we were on comms, in fleet, on the forums, in the shoutbox, in your lunch box, etc etc etc. But I guess you already knew that. Big smile

See that post I can agree with. I'm the one who told tele that after one fight for fun we should pack it in and wait for the timers, but I can't agree that we'd have lost the next day, me might have, we might not have. We might not (probably wouldn't) have come in feroxes either, you clearly had them figured out at that point.

Anyway the tldr is that GSE decided to end the war. Presumably they decided that this war was just business on our end, and that they had more to lose than to gain by keeping it up. We should do this again though. The fights were fun, even the one we lost.

Wise words. And yes. The amount of spies we have pretty staggering. We've learned to work around it and we stopped caring years ago. Tell me, do you ever just come on your RvB spy alts and enjoy a relaxed fight or two? If you don't you should.

Now now. No need to insult the man.

Edit: In fact I'll go further and compliment him (as well as eat some crow) I looked up his KB when he first posted and saw 0 war activity so I thought it was pretty silly that he was weighing in, and it riled me up but if he FCed that fight, clearly he's a good FC, getting all those disparate groups to work together as a unit can't have been easy.
