Trying to understand the promotional resub offers emailed to me

I reactivated this character recently with the hours for plex and some spare cash I had lying around, but I keep getting all of these reactivation offers for my other long gone characters which I don't really understand.

For the current character I am posting with, I never ever have been offered any discounts on subscribing, and he has about a full year invested with the last 5 months unsubscribed. I kept hoping for offers, but none came so I didn't come back until now.

My alt with about 7 months of subscription time and the last 5 months unsubscribed periodically gets an offer for one free month at $9.99, which isn't bad, but not great either.

Then I have around 8 throwaway characters that did one month and activated a second month on the buddy system. These guys are constantly being emailed offers like get two months for $15. These are the offers I want to see on my main accounts.

I guess my question is, why is it only my disposable characters that get these great offers, and my serious characters with a lot of time invested in them either get the crap offers or no offers at all? It doesn't make much sense.

automated systems

if you want your main to get an offer for subscribing you will have to unsub first

otherwise inactive accounts get offers, its called incentive

now as to why active toons dont get offers you're mad, we just got stuff over christm.... hai.. wait... did we get a gift for christmas?

anyhow, that aside, current accounts get rewards from time to time so your post is confusing

Like I said, this one and my other serious alt were unsubscribed for 5 full months and didn't get a single offer emailed to them (other than a single $9.99 offer for the alt today). All of the other accounts I let expire after doing their 21 day trial and 1 month buddy account activation have been plagued with "come back, here's 50% off!" emails at least once every other month.

It just seems like they are a lot more interested in the new accounts than keeping older, more time-invested players.

I don't blame them. They're not so concerned about older, more established players because there is a higher chance of them resubscribing. Throwaway trial accounts turning into full accounts is very hit and miss in comparison. Most gaming business models will sacrifice a few returning customers to ensure there is a steady flow of new accounts.
