Yesterday, as I was playing another (possibly made for non master race humans) mmo with some friends, we had the usual fun chat via Teamspeak when suddenly one of our less tech savy mates complained about sound issues and that he couldn't hear us properly, we ofc, at first went all "lol, did you accidentally lower the volume on that big shiny wheel at the front of your speakers?" but no, he really had sound issues that weren't caused by stupidity (or so we thought).

After that we went all techie (or what windows7 users perceive as techie) on him "maybe something with your hardware manager is wrong etc."

After a few minutes then someone send him a tool usually reserved for help desk employees, so he could access his machine directly.

Access granted, screen pops up the guy wants to fix the other guys sound when suddenly he's all like "GAH! OH GOD! Why Didn't you turn that off!? That's the ******* uggliest porn I've ever seen! WTF! VIRUS! Can't Close the friggin Site! I HATE YOU!"

And I was just to stunned to do anything else but to listen and I was all like "Shocked"

I still can't decide wether should actually ask what he saw that day or if it's better for me to not ask and better frogett that ever happened...

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

No, can't say that's ever happened to me.

As to whether you should ask - that would reduce the imaginable possibilities. Leave it up to Schroedinger and enjoy all the possibilities that amuse you.

Sometimes you just need a super high resolution screenshot of your grossly overweight mother in law stark naked and laying on a John Deere tractor as a desktop, and wait, I thought anti-virus programs were optional! I needed that extra RAM the Windows Defender was using to download questionable movies from misc seedy looking websites while playing Facebook games!

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

This happens to me occasionally, and seriously, I really do not appreciate all the yelling and screaming. So I like Richard Simmons work out videos. get over it! Roll

No that hasn't happened to me. But a coworker was telling me how he had spyware installed on his kid's phone that sent him phone calls, text messages, gps location, etc.. and his kid found out and uninstalled it.. lol

yes as a script kiddie over 10 years ago I used to drop in on people doing whatever. mostly just chatting on aim but there was the occasional movie watcher. I'd minimize everything to desktop, open a notepad and type

back when DSL was new and finally fast enough to transmit screenshots at a decent rate. I'd scan whole city blocks by IP and provider while I was at work, come home in the afternoon and play.
