Hi Damian

I have to say that as much as I like the software, I absolutely hate the fact that it takes few in-game mail, forum posts and 9 days later we still have no access to TW. Is this because this soft is free?

That is not normal - but since you have changed corps a few times now it has made it worse for you.

The reason it has been taking atleast a few days for me to authorize corps right now is because I am in the process of getting a new job. This new job is about 6 hours away from my home so it is causing a huge disruption in my schedule.

I can't wait to get moved and settled in - all this running is exhausting. But it does mean nearly 3x more pay then my current job!

I'm sorry but both of you are in NPC corps and since I can only grant Corp and Alliance wide authorization currently you will have to wait until you join a player corp.

The reason for this is I am in the process of completely re-coding the registration process for public use, and a major step to finishing the beta stage. I have no ETA on when this will be complete atm.

MITM attack is possible on [insert SSL web app here], regardless of SSL cert: http://hak5.org/hack/strip-out-ssl-security-with-a-man-in-the-middle-attack

It requires the client network compromised. Which is low. But possible. having SSL cert doesn't = mitm attack proof.

You are correct. In the end there is nothing any of us can do to make our computer systems 100% hack-proof. The best we can do is continually make it as difficult as possible. I am working on brand new servers with a more secure admin authentication system and a brand new SSL certificate and configuration that is A+ rated by multiple 3rd party SSL evaluators.

I hope everyone pays attention to security issues like this - knowledge is critical in keeping networks secure.

Tripwire will receive updates and fixes for Hyperion's changes coming.

I am already making plans on when and how to release the updates so Tripwire is ready on day 1.
