There are a great many I've got figured, but what in the world is a GTFO fit? The only thing I can remotely figure is Get The F*** Out, but that doesn't apply in all the context I've seen it in.

*Not sure if serious...*

You've basically got it -- a GTFO fit is a fitting so terrible that the poster's credibility has been ruined, to the point where they've been asked to leave the thread.

no you are right, it means a fit that can align and warp out very quickly when the **** hits the fan.

So nano fits etc, not an abaddon with 5 1600 plates :)

or its just : the fit stinks,, get out. i seen both meanings.

I am serious, and now Aamrr's explanation clarifies why the context seemed odd to me.

I understand the fast align and warp - Get The F*** Out (of Dodge)

but I didn't grasp the "Man, you fail at fitting, Get The F*** Out of the forum angle.

Now I got it.

and yes Squirrels, I suppose it could be Grope The Fresh Octopus as well...matter of fact, that shall be the name of my next boat.
