While you're out there picking up friends, don't forget to pick up a few enemies along the way, too.

Welcome, new player. Marvellous use of the [ center ] function, by the way.
Since you are looking for some kind of in-game community that is not an alliance or corp, I would suggest to look into the
"Out of Pod Experience" section of these forums. This is where both vets and newbies from all areas of the game hang out to circlejerk and talk about random crap all day. There are also several OoPE based ingame chat channels.

Protip: a good corporation is a good place to start making social circles. Look in the Alliance and Corporation Recruitment Center.

You can also view our corp's recruitment advert.

@shimiku: I'm not sure what kind of question that is but, safe to say, not much.

And thank you to everyone else for the nice welcomes and chats. I know I haven't posted in here much the past day or two but it's all being seen and appreciated! There's just so much to learn in this game, I feel like I never have time.
