You can remove the tinfoil hats gentlemen, turns out this was a bug in the current sisi build which has been fixed. Quotes from CCP Fozzie

Quote:
If this is actually happening on sisi then it's a bug.

Quote:
From our initial investigation it appears that this issue is happening whenever a wormhole connection spans two systems that are running on different server nodes, and isn't specific to K-W wormholes (although since almost all W-Space and K-Space systems are on different nodes this is where it is most easy reproduced). When players encounter this bug on SISI I'll ask that you please submit a bug report from the client, as it should be throwing an exception that will help us get to the bottom of this as quickly as possible.

Quote:
Ok we found the cause of this and CCP Masterplan has fixed it internally.

or, a rather lazy attempt to reduce stress on the server

Is the invulnerability timer still the same? If so it makes scouting really easy and you're uncatchable in anything small. Poor effort CCP. Another poorly thought through item.

Can more than one person verify this?

If it's true, then probably R I P WHs as hole games are no longer allowed and they literally become gates instead of something different. The only difference is that caps can go through. Are we taking bets on how long until cynos are added?

I wonder who's making these suggestions and why no one on the CSM has said, hold on lets get the opinion of the community before we change the meta in an entire section of the game.

People like w-space as its different to k-space, these latest changes seem to be undoing the very basics of w-space which is rather sad especially when you consider that the most requested thing for some time now has been to fix Sov Null.

I look forward to reading the devblog that outlines the rationale behind these changes however I can already say that there is disbelief and some frustration that such things would be left for people to find out prior to a devblog which tells us of the changes then seeks feedback as per the usual process.

You're looking forward to the Devblog which is going to explain why they're about to break wormholes? I for one would be happy for that Devblog to never see the light of day, and its ideas to be taken out back and shot like a rabid dog.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

I agree I have no idea why CCP would even look at doing these things too WH space.. I also agree that Cynos will probably be coming if this happens within the next year or possibly earlier....Null Sec 2.0 indeed

Are CCP really taking to not listening too the people again?

On SiSi polarization is working as it used to be.

Edit: Polarization might have been removed from k-space connections only. See my 2nd post.

That's what I see as well, at least for the H296 I tried.

Have you tried it from K-space wormholes, since thats what I have been using?

You're correct. There is no polarisation timer on the C140 C5->Lowsec I tried. I was able to bounce back and forwards multiple times.

On an E545 (That is a C2-Null connection) I do not get polarized.

Gonna do some more testing and update this.

Originating from C2 WHs:
N062 (C2-C5) polarisation.
D382 (C2-C2) polarization.
E545 (C2-Null) NO polarisation
A239 (C2-LS) NO polarization
R474 (C2->C6) polarization

Originating from C5-WHs:
D364 (C5-C2) polarisation
H296 (C5-C5) polarization
C140 (C5-LS) No polarization
Z142 (C5-Null) No polarization

Originating from C6-WHs:
W237 (C6-C6) polarization
V911 (C6-C6) polarization

Done for the night.

Tell you what CCP, I'll be ok with this change if you add polarization to NS gates and remove local from kspace.
Otherwise, please. JUST. STOP.

Heres a vid of me jumping through a C3 > Lowsec wormhole multiple times without getting polarized.

So...now you won't be able to force people to fight unless you put bubbles on both sides of the hole and wait for them to eventually crash the hole with perpetual jumping, splitting your fleet in two? Sounds awesome!X

Cue Fozzie coming to to say again that no one is out to get us.
Is there a local in on SiSi too? Because that would make sense too. Oh, and maybe moon goo and supers and cyno's for those supers.

What next, CCP? Really. What next??

I actually have to say it now... is this stuff REALLY more important than putting increased developer efforts into fixing POS code, Corp Roles, Sov Mechanics, etc?

Did a quick bit of testing

Low<>Low (N944) - Polarization
Low<> C3 (X702) - No polarization
C3 <> Low (U210) - No polarization

Sadly this is all I have been able to test so far due to time constants but wanted to add them to the list.

I'm hoping its a bug as just removing polarization on J<>K holes is odd but well :ccp:
