Meaningless question. Goons earned their place at the top of stagnant null by years of disciplined recruiting and play. I don't know enough about their world to say how much brilliance or panache was involved, but whatever it was, it was enough. To be fair, it's about the same yardstick as the “grr nullsec minority, highsec will rise” chest-beating, which often ends up suggesting that something like 400,000 people will one day invade and take over the place (once they're finished AFKing level-4 missions).

But you aren't.

Every corp, every alliance in EVE can have a decimal chopped off if you want true active membership. Of course to scale that, you have a possible log in potential of 1100 and no other alliance can do half that so you still win.

It's still the same standard that applies to every other group, so if you want measures of relative size it's one of the best you've got.
Also Goonwaffe, the largest corp, regularly purges inactives and so do several others (including mine).

I could also tell you the number of people (yes, people, not accounts but people) there are in each CFC alliance and corp that have at least one Capswarm capable character, but this is probably not info that I should be spreading about without permission (although I doubt it's opsec at all).

No....no they're not. I dont like goons simply for there lack of morals. Unfortunatly the only ways goons are gonna die are; They'll desolve out of boredom or the rest of eve will get bored enough to alie up and make war. Unfortunatly it would seem most of eve is fine with the skirmishes.
