Hi all,

Recently returned after a 2 year hiatus and looking for your opinions on which set up and route to take;

Have two accounts (both around 43m sp), previously spent most of their time in small gang pvp. Now looking to do either some missions or exploration to get back in the groove before i decide upon my next steps.

Char on account A
Skilled in Missiles and Lasers (medium and below)
Can fly Caldari and Amarr ships BC and below (inc legion / tengu / recons 5/ logi's 5)
Decent drone skills (but no sentries)
Good scanning skills

Char on account B
Skilled in Projectile Turrets and Blasters
Flies Minmatar / Gallente ships BC and below (inc loki / prot / HACS 5)
Good drone skills (inc sentires)
Good scanning skills

So, options i was thinking were

1) Get char A in a Scanning / Hacking ship eg Astero, get char B in Ishtar, go and do some low / null exploration
2) Char A in her Tengu, Char B in maybe an Ishtar? double them up doing level 4's (also have a char with a fully loaded noctis, could even have him clean up after them?)
3) I don't know... what other money making options are there for pilots who'se skills are entirely invested in flying smallish ships well!?

Easiest way would be 2 remote repp domi´s and do lvl 4´s. Assign drones and control 1.500 dps with a single target painter. You can keep ur domis cheap so both cost together about 500-600mio isk

Hello and welcome back to Eve.

I only fly Minmatar and a couple of Angel ships so can't really say anything about the other Factions.

Low and Null sec exploration would definitely net you some ISK.

Of course dual boxing 2 characters to blitz level 4 missions will definitely make ISK as well.

Also since you like small ships might look into Factional Warfare for small gang PvP action.

Whatever you decide, hope you have a long and rewarding career this time around.

Hm...

With 2 chars there is 2 obvious options in empire.
(1) Sisters hi sec L4 missions with 2 BS
(2) FW LP farming with 2 bombers (L4 FW missions) or if you feel bold and want to attract attention then couple of T3's.

Neither of them is particularly exciting but in the second case you have always few people wanting to kill you. Depends on what Tz you are also. It's just that if you are using bombers you will not be exactly in position to do anything against people who want to kill you as it's usually interceptors / AF's / navy frigates.

Here, sanity... niiiice sanity, come to daddy... okay, that's a good sanity... THWONK! GOT the bastard.

Wormholes may be worth a look.

Good topic, I have been wondering same thing in terms of missions, I find most of the L4 gallete missions so far to be a cake walk so I was thinking about running a noctic on the second account. Not sure if that would be more profitable or not.

Remember that while profit over time (aka min maxing) in Eve is the meta, theres one huge consideration people forget;

Whatever you are running, you have x amount of hours to play a day. Lets say you have 4 hours. You need to be able to squeeze one extra mission/anomaly/site/whatever MORE into your repetoire to see even a penny extra in profit.

Also, its like a dual core processor. In theory, its twice as fast, in practice its not.

You can bring your noctis to the gate and have it waiting for the room to be cleared, and you can have a MTU deployed by your mission ship working for you as you go. Thats a rather effective way IMHO.

The mission blitzers always make a good case, I never found it to be quite as fun, but I always had a Tengu to blitz some missions when I felt like taking that route. Variety is the spice of life after all.

One advantage of mission blitzing with two characters is you get twice the missions to choose from and far reduced chance of hitting the 4 hour decline timer.

Get both of them into T3's and use mobile depots to refit as required?

Daytrip into wormholes with one alt scans in and then when finnished scanning hop both into some bc, Hacs or t3's with omni tank, half cap stable and jump and clean some sleepers and then salvage.
When that gets boring get a scanning cov op t3 and scan holes find other day trippers to gank? Big smile

Can also scan deep into wormholes, find a nullsec and scan for anomalies there and see if you get lucky with some intresting drops.

If you have both characters in Tengus, there's no need to refit. Just put on a speed/omnitank and run two missions in parallel. Slower than blitzing with a single CNR or marauder, but much lower risk. An added bonus is that the times that you have to pay attention you don't spend as much of your attention waiting for ships to warp to gates.

Of course if your aim is to make ISK, it's worth investigating the options available in the Making ISK guide. Don't get distracted by how to run missions efficiently when there are other options out there that you can pursue. Two characters make an ideal hauling partnership, especially if you can wardec each other or have them in the same corp.

And don't fall into the trap that I did, focussing so much on making ISK that you cease enjoying the game.
