Undocumented Stealth Wardec Nerf!

Now a corporation that has just left an alliance is no longer able to declare an outgoing war. This was not the case a week ago. The error message it gives is:

"The war can not be sanctioned as you are now a member of an alliance. If you want to go to war then you have to either leave the alliance or have the alliance declare a war."

This now mirrors the other wardec bug which prevents new incoming wardecs against a corporation that has left an alliance, until after the next DT.

"The war can not be sanctioned as it is against a member of an alliance. If you want to go to war with them then you will have to declare war against the whole alliance."

Wait ... what ?

You were in an alliance, you LEFT the alliance, but you can't declare war anymore ? O_o

No, wait ...

One never was able to declare war against a single corporation that's in an alliance ...

Sorry, not trolling here ... it's really confusing me.

No no, it doesn't affect what I do at all. Dec Shield is still working perfectly. It's just that corporations that leave Dec Shield can no longer declare an outgoing war, and be immune to incoming wars for 23hrs. Thus you can no longer attack someone while remaining immune to everyone else. All Dec Shield mechanics still work fine, and you can still evade wardecs.

Wait... so you want to have your corp declare a war dragging your alliance into it, then leave the alliance (and the war you started) behind you by leaving. But you can't.

I'm having an exceedingly difficult time locating any sympathies for your dilemna... check back with me later and I'll see if I found some.

Negative.

Step 1.) Drop your corp from alliance.
Step 2.) Attempt to declare an outgoing war.
Step 3.) Receive error message stating you cannot declare war because you're in an alliance
Step 4.) Profit?

Good. You want to shoot at people at will, be willing to be shot at yourself.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Woah woah woah. I thought we were talking about pvp here... why would anyone ever risk retaliation for highsec wars. Afterall, there's nothing wrong with the old wardec mechanics as people keep telling me. If you want to pvp against a corporation just join a corp that they're at war with. Problem solved.

All sarcasm aside, this is a step in the right direction, but it still doesn't solve any of the true underlying problems about wardecs.
