Seriously though, why not start a war for no other reason than the sheer enjoyment of it? No alliance is so great it can't be defeated.

You are correct, it is quite telling. What it tells me is that if you insult most people, the thread gets closed, yet if you start up a threat to attack members of goonswarm, calling them racists and the like, it gets left open. Clearly the moderators are all anti-CFC. Thank you for pointing this out Dinsdale.

How do you beat goons? Same way they beat everyone else; get them to stop logging in.

CCP created them by doing two things.

1) Created a way to have unlimited people blue
2) Are unable to deliver a node capable of hosting x2 that many numbers

So, yah, we can kill goonswarm by blobbing them back for the entire 7 days it'll take for them to die off on paper, but in the game, we get Tidi before we're even 110th of the way there.

So, they live on and we just shake our heads at CCP and their sandbox.

1,3,4. A combination of what's in my sig and the ultimate lust for money.

2. What player doesn't wish to exploit the game mechanics to their advantage?

5. Goons are like Hydra, cut off one head, two more take its place.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Where'd you get the idea they're better than that? You said you saw the website. Does "SA" mean anything to you?
How about (if it's still there) that nice comment about their founder in the upper left hand corner of the homepage?

Goons maintain what hold they have by myth, and brutally ganging up on people. (That's the "swarm" part.) They're not unbeatable. It's just that no one's gotten around to it yet. One of the reasons they didn't claim a significant part of space after the BoB incident is, they didn't do that alone. Alone, they aren't THAT big.
