Can not Install windows 8.1

Fresh install of windows 8.1. 160 gb free on hard drive. Getting failed installation extraction error 3 no matter how I try to install. Wiped out and reinstalled windows. Downloaded a new installer.... same error.

going of 4 days no of being unable to install. If this isnt resolved I will be forced to have the year of gametime I paid for my two accounts returned to my credit card. What good is a game that will not install?

As an add on, have downloaded all three files from here http://community.eveonline.com/support/download/offline-installer/ put them into the same empty folder and ran the installer (on windows 8.1). SAME ERROR failed archive extraction 3....



help pls.


ran windows 8.1 disk cleanup from administrative tools. reran eve installer. Same error.

Problem is on your side...and as such be careful of money retraction as it will cause you a lot of trouble and possible inability to use your credit card with EVE or even your accounts in the future ever again.

As it is not CCPs fault you might want to check your computers memory, harddrives, and programs that interfere with downloading like firewalls/antivirus. Also a faulty internet connection can possibly corrupt your downloads.

You mentioned a generic extraction fault. Can you give exact details or the exact fault? We are guessing without precise errors.
