Lets talk about goals.

I had a long forum post in another thread about goals, it got ganked in transit so I figured I'd do a new thread with this has a focus.

Lots of threads lately from nullbears, wanting carebears to move to null. You all work that out. I've got a different question that may lend some light on the rift in play style.

"What are your goals in Eve?"

Here's mine "I want to be able to fly every small hull (frigate/destroyer) competently, ewar drone, scanning etc."

I don't care about isk, I make enough to cover expenses, i want to fly what I consider the cool ships. It's my goal, it's my opinion on what's cool. I don't care about isk, tears or anything else that gets brought up. I have solid group of corp mates and no one cares if I didn't log in last week, but they are glad to see me when I do.

So what's your goals in Eve?

My long-term goal is to try everything at least once. I'm waiting for some improvements to Factional Warfare before I try that - Incursions and Wormhole living I keep pushing out.

I want to skill up to a Nidhoggur just so I can have a reason to say 'Carrier has arrived' in that voice.

In the short term, I want a Machariel.

I've found that if you have goals, you might not reach them.

If you have no goals you are never dissapointed, and I have to tell you it feels great.

My goal in eve is to have a functional shipyard.

Unfourtunately that requires capital and being able to collect said capital.

Dust 514's CPM 1 Iron Wolf Saber Eve mail me about Dust 514 issues.

I want to have fun, as simple as that.

Currently having fun means flying around in my Rattlesnake or CNR blowing stuff up while I train for a Cerberus.

Long term goal I want to eventually get in a Phoenix and go smash big things into little things

People in 0.0 want high sec players to move to null so that they can become relevant. They spend their days sucking **** trying to gain standing in the social hierarchy of their little bubble. Eventually they come to, look around and realize no body playing EVE gives a **** about what an excellent BJ they just gave except the other people drenched in *** in the little bubble.

High-sec players moving to 0.0 would also push them up the social hierarchy by default as they'd have seniority and their jaws could take a break.
