Changes to agent quality?

Afternoon all.

I have been away from the game for around a half year (maybe longer).

I notice that the agent quality has been removed. You used to be able to track how far you were from going up to the next level of mission. e.g: level 2 quality +20 up to level 3 quality -20, etc etc.

Now that this has been removed, how can i tell how far i am from being able to go up a level for missions?

You can still use http://eve-agents.com/ to find agents and requirements.

Note that the system security STILL affects rewards, so a 0.5 system is better than a 0.9 system.

Your standing to the faction/corp/agent also still effects pay out too.

They'll pay better at 9.80 than at 6.4

Just remember that this quote of CCP Molock is incorrect.

I've highlighted the incorrect statement. It was like this when that expansion was first implemented. However it seems that Cosmos agents were quickly reverted back to the old standing requirement based on the old Agent Quality level. As such, they also pay out rewards and standing increase due to the old Agent Quality level.

Basically I was informed via petition that Cosmos agents were reverted due to being miss-used for quick Faction standing increase. I'm not sure how they could be miss-used since they're only available once in the life of the character. Personally I think it's unjust and makes the game unbalanced since all other agents are currently following the 'Agents Made Easy' standing protocol.

All agents accept standings modified by Social skills for access. If using Corporation standing for access, the Faction needs to be above -2.00 standing. High Faction standing will over-ride Corporation and Agent standing. However, the Agent and Corporation standing is usually easier to gain and must remain above -2.00 standing for access. Event Agent missions will quickly increase Faction standing.

Nobody can really specify the amount of reward / standing gained due to various factors involved. These factors include:

Agent location = A difference of 0.1 in system security level from 1.0 down to 0.0 translates into a 10% increase in rewards.
Agent division = Security, Mining, Distribution, R&D (Security division gives the most standing increase).
Agent type = Basic, Factional Warfare, Storyline, Event (Storyline and Event Agents give Agent, Corporation and Faction standing increase).
Mission type = Encounter, Mining, Courier (Encounter missions give the most standing).
Standings = Higher agent standing gives increased rewards per mission.
Social skills = Higher level trained reduces the time spent to gain standings.

These various Social skills will modify your Agent, Corporation and Faction standings as well as rewards gained.

Connections skill will raise your current positive standings with Empire. (4% per level)
Criminal Connections skill will raise your current positive standings with Pirate. (4% per level)
Diplomacy skill will raise your current negative standings with all. (4% per level)
Social skill will increase the amount of standings gained for completing missions. (5% per level)
Negotiation skill will increase mission reward and agent effective standing. (5% per level)
Fast Talk skill increases amount of Security Status gained for killing single most highest bounty Pirate NPC every 20 minutes. (5% per level)

Three different skills increase amount of Loyalty Points gained for completing missions per specific Agent Division. (5% per level)
