New ORE control tower and ORE Transport ship

I was thinking why not make a ORE control tower with Mining Bonus ? and ORE Transport ship like http://i.imgur.com/ik8JXj4.png
of course the ORE Transport ship shot carry only Ore nothing else.

I like the idea. Would it have bays for both ore and minerals or would there be two different types, one for ore and one for minerals?


Would the ORE Tower provide mining bonuses system wide to those in the corporation only or would fleet members that are non corporation also be included in the bonus?

How would the ORE Tower effect the skill bonuses of pilots as well as ships with built in mining bonuses?

We always need new towers and ships...always.

Gallente already cover both. As much as I would love to see more ORE ships, I can't see how your proposal would bring anything new or unique to the table.

It doesn't have to be new or unique. It provides an alternate route for a 'pure' industrialist to not have to crosstrain outside of Ore.

The idea of a ORE freighter is pretty neat. Maybe it could hold more ore/minerals/gas than a regular freighter but be limited to those products.

Ya regular transport ship has 10k to 100k max with skills and rigs ORE transport shot have 500k + just ore/Minerals/Gas/Ice
atm with regular transport ship takes non stop up and down to Orca and back, with ORE transport ship it shot slightly improved ore adding the compressed ore function to the ORE ship.

I think i just found a nice ship for the New ORE Transport ship Primae that ship has no roll in the game so why not use that instead small modifications (redesign) to make it more a ORE ship pot some barrels ore containers left right lower top off the ship maybe add more mass to it to make it little bigger what do you all think

No not the New ORE freighter but New transport ship something in between freighter and transport ship is a sed, Primae is perfect for the Job and has no roll in the game

What you are asking is for devs to spend time, money and resources on creating a new ship and POS that will do the same job as ones that already exist becauseyou think it would be cool.

If you want a new ship/module/structure then YES, it DOES have to be new and unique and bring something different to the table. If it doesn't then it will never see the light of day because it will be a waste of time.

Instead of the ORE Control Tower providing mining bonuses, it could increase the yield of Moon Harvesting Arrays.

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Maybe instead of mining bonuses the ORE Control Tower could give refining. Say +2% to refining arrays and make them instant instead of 10s cycle. This still gives null/ls a bonus on their 54% refine array and so wouldn't bork that when compared to the 52% hs array. Other possible bonus would be reprocessing, since the skill give so little already, maybe 2-5% more or something.


Someone already pointed out we have ore and mineral specific haulers in game.
What we don't have is a combined hauler.
I'm think ORE Transport. With Ore only hold = to 1 Orca load only, and a second mineral only hold. So transport can haul from mining op to POS refine and back to mining op without all the lost time for session changes with docking. Balance the mineral hold so it has to dock have say 4 or 5 refined Orca trip equivalents. Give a mid and either lows or rigs and maybe a utility high that can only fit a tractor, maybe. A small nonspecific cargo hold of say 300 - 500 so it can haul away rat loot or salvage too.

Place a ORE faction requirement on it too to balance it all out. Say 3.0 for transport and 6.0 for control tower.

Ya something that can hold more ore then a standard transport and that is balance between Orca and exhumer,so you don t need to warp all the time with standard transport,and you all now how annoying this is up and down non stop Ugh

ORE Control tower, whit reprocessing bonus, and ore compression bonus is good idea ;)
