Why don't you come out here & solve the blue donut problem yourself?

Didn't Harry Forever already try that? What ever happened to that guy anyway? I recall a really short rallying cry, then a whole lot of nothing after a couple of weeks.

He hung around for a few months throwing bombs at cyno ships, then he upgraded to throwing bombs at industrials. Then he vanished in to nothingness after losing a bomber to an AFK carrier.

To be fair though, I have far more respect for someone like Harry Forever than I do for people like the OP. Harry took steps to try & rectify his perceived issue while people like the OP want CCP or other people to do it for them, while continuing to sit on their highsec throne of moral superiority.

We took him with us in the Halloween war, I hear he had a great time shiptalking in local and bombing cynos and N3.

And to be fair, I saw him in VFK yesterday, so the crusade continues.

As Mallak says, at least the guy has up and tried to do something, you gotta give the man props for that.

My point is anyone doing anything like Harry is going to be like a fart in the wind - a source of amusement at the futility of conviction.

The doughnut needs to internally collapse for anything conclusive to happen - and then as was previously said - is a symptom not the cause.

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

You mean anyone intentionally going solo against a power bloc? Yup, definitely doomed to failure if the aim is to destroy them. That's why lots of people would need to form an organised group to achieve anything, thus the highsec whinebears never will.

No, your rights end in optimal+2*falloff

Absolutely. I cheered him on quite a bit in his first thread. Seeing quite a few bears take up arms along side him; it was all rather inspiring, until the inevitable occured.

Also I am pretty sure that a lot of the income goes into RMT and funding plex for a bazillion alts. Every alliance leader stuffs his own pockets in null.

Big capital fights are great at getting people to try the game, but how many are lured in just to quit a month later because what you see and what you generally get are, for many people, quite disparate? Also, it would be a far more interesting narrative to sell if the current state of things was a real vibrant, Byzantine struggle of Vikings in space, rather than the tired, geriatric staring contest between two powers? A chess board is far more interesting to study when the pieces are actually moving.

If you want publicity, get some interesting stories out there which will show off the real sandbox nature of the game. So much else goes on in New Eden, its rather depreciating to boil down the publicity to a few shiny fights.

I do wonder how many newbies we still have from then. Hm

So, I was thinking, how great would it be if all or even some of the land lord alliances began to systematically kill off their renters. I hear a lot of people complaining about how dead 0.0 is and it seems to me that it is because of the renter empires and everybody being blue to damn near everybody.

There would be downsides of course, but also some really positive things, mostly a huge amount of pvp targets and huge opportunities to relieve people of their wealth through destruction and ransoms. Another benefit would be a massive break down in 0.0 industry and ratting, which would be great for anyone who can manage to hold onto and use their bit of space.

I'm sure that the lust for isk will prevent this from ever happening, but wouldn't it be great?

This is something my son would say (he is 6). Wouldn't work even if they tried. The money from renters is too good to pass up for PVP targets. Sounds like your out of touch with what goes on down here. There's plenty of PVP daily. Now if you want a real challenge go and disasemble the goons.

Hilarious. Don't like the ghetto, kill the welfare recipients. Don't quake in the knowledge
you're helpless in the face of the slumlords.

I hate the blue donut = WE (meaning your corp/alliance) SUCK. We can't beat the big guys.

I'll say this one last time, then I'm dunking blue donuts in the coffee cup of eternal obscurity:

If you don't like the blue donut, conquer it.
If you can't conquer it, shut up about it. Take up knitting.

Oh its perfectly fine to complain about how terrible the null situation is as it means we get to state why its such a terrible mess and how to fix it.
