WARNING: Im a new player, literally two weeks old. I have just watched a ton of videos about eve and read a lot of blogs:

So I've been reading a few of these blog posts about changing the sov system in null sec and making it so that missions are a viable income in null sec.

What I'm wondering is if it'd be possible for alliances/corporations to create there own missions for their members/people in that station. These would be like agent missions except alliances control what the mission is and the rewards. They can be used to encourage pilots to focus on whatever the alliances main goal is. As an example:

Alliance A is at war with Alliance B. Alliance A can than go to a mission creation screen and set up a mission for the pilots in the alliance

If they accept the alliances mission they are than tasked to destroy alliance B's ships/POS's and are rewarded with extra isk based on what type of ship it was etc. You could even include a mechanic where if alliance A wanted a certain system/region, the missions only provide the extra ISK to WT's in that system.
Or they could be tasked to gate camp a strategic point or sit outside a certain station for an allotted period of time. They would only be rewarded if they engaged any/all WT's that entered that area.

Again, I'm a new player that has never even been to a 0.0 system. But I joined eve so one day I could. This is a very very rough outline of an idea I had.
If you think it would work I'd love to see if anyone can think of any other cool ways you could use an alliance mission system. if it can't work I'd also like to know why that is.

There is nothing stopping any of this. If an alliance wants to reward any kind of activity, it doesnt need a game mechanic to do so.

Its not that its a terrible idea, its just that player goals are better managed at a player level rather than outlining objectives in a new game mechanism.

It can just be a lot easier to manage and control on larget scale if it is a game mechanic though.. But of course the old right-click -> Give Money can always be used to reward people for doing stuff, yes. It's just not very sleek.
