I was thinking about dueling but one thing I wouldn't want to mess with is accepting a duel then getting killed in 10 seconds because he had some bonuses, like from being in a fleet. Does anyone know anything about this? Please include all possible bonuses. Thanks.

There aren't any fleet bonuses that add damage or damage application, none of them are offensive aside from the web/point range bonus and maybe some of the ewar ones.

So they might make your target harder to kill, but all the DPS is his own (unless you're being target painted by a third party, which is not legal in a highsec duel to begin with).

Also look out for them bringing logi.

By "they might be harder to kill" do you mean they get the shield and armor bonuses from being in a fleet?

Yes resist and ammount bonuses.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

And speed, which can be used as a form of tanking.

Easy way to make it fair, beside a duel also fleet up with the person. This way you can see that he doesmt have links to boost him.

Indeed. If you find yourself in a fair fight, you've both screwed up.

The only time a fair fight happens is when noone cares about the outcome.

You should assume any 1v1 involves your opponent having neutral remote repairs and boosting and friends ready to jump in. If you do not have this ability do not engage, or engage expecting a loss.

Maybe not in high-sec. You can however find lots of people who are simply looking for a good (i.e. interesting) fight in low-sec, especially if you fly a T1 frigate.

Unless I'm missing something, they are:

A: Character skill bonuses, Ship bonuses,
B: Fleet Links Bonuses(fleet boosters),
C: Implants Bonuses, Drugs Bonuses(also called boosters)

Since Eve Online seems to be Alts Online, dueling with unknown people, in my opinion, is really not worth it. Fighting people that have (all of) those bonuses puts you in a really bad spot.

I'm sometimes still confused why the market turns out nothing when you search for SeBo or any other abbreviation.
