I'm pretty new to wormholes and I'm looking at fits for various PvE ships and I notice people have probe launchers fit to 'check for new signatures'. Do people still do this now that the scan window shows all anomalies? Wouldn't you now be better off filling the last high with a weapon to finish a site quicker and spam dscan? Obviously you would carry a mobile depot to refit your launcher/cloak when necessary.

A probe launcher isn't necessary anymore to detect new signatures (this might be subject to change, however, sometime in the future).

If you have a spare high, then not really since a weapon can't go in there

If thuggin' was a category I'd win a Grammy

Remember, anomalies and signatures are different. If you just want ore & combat sites then you don't need a probe launcher to find those anomalies, no.

However, other sites (including wormholes) are signatures. And even if you never forget to bookmark the hole you came through, Murphy's Law states that something will go wrong before you expect it to.
