Re-fit that venture with some salvagers, salvaging rigs, shield resists, stabs, etc... and go salvage in low/null sec. Make a ton more ISK salvaging elite frigate wrecks than you will mining. And its a lot more fun. Only real skill you need is "avoid the bad guys".

I ran lvl 3 missions to make isk when I was still in highsec, it's faster than mining with a venture.

I wouldn't get into space trucking for the money. Knowing how to haul may be useful to you in the long run, but not on its own for profit. That said, a hauler can make decent money when they station trade (my station trading game is still a grind, but I think I'm getting better).

I think Swift and Bitter's EVE what to do flowchart could be useful to you.

C'mon folks, the guy is RPing as a miner, where is the advice to buy a permit? Or to stay aligned? Or to never go AFK (if not cloaked or inside a station)?

I have to admit I too enjoy mining when high. I even trained Gas Harvesting V or whatever the skill needed for T2 gas harvesters is called. I've even resorted to snorting 10% bonus ores from time to time when things are slow. Only later in my Eve career did I began to understand how addicting mining is and I think I may need to cut back on mixing my drugs. Blink

The only objection I have to deliberately inhaling Arkonor fumes is the homicidal rage I might go into as an unfortunate side effect, killing much needed crew members. It's an painful journey after an episode like this where I'm relegated to performing basic navigation functions just to make it back home. I have seen electrocution therapy offered in Irnin that might mitigate some of the violent impulses, but I have concerns about what else in my brain the treatment may negatively affect.
