This game has a problem. As a single player er even in a small group with friends you can't really do much in the game. You can either stay in high sec or you probably lose. There is no realistic chance to get away if a superior gang decides to catch you.
One of the reasons of this is, that it is too easy to keep someone from warping away.
I propose a new function in every ship that let you charge up your warp drive and increase your warp strength over time. So eventually you could escape if you survive that long. A downside of using this could be that you can't use aggressive modules while charging your warp drive.

Every single thing you said is wrong.

OP I get the distinct impression that either your playing a different game than I am or you've been really unlucky.

This.

Though I must say, I haven't heard of this idea before. Am kind of intruiged. Basically it works like aggression timers on gates/stations. But it would be unbalanced due to tank capabilities, so for now, NO.

No, I'm a solo player where this could be useful, but I'm still saying, NO.

Well, not every single thing he said is wrong. EVE does have a problem; it's just that this isn't the problem it has - or a problem at all.

*waves*

I belong to a relatively small group and we routinely deal with groups larger than ourselves. It's easy to get away unless you are flying a ship that you should not be flying without support anyways.

You could make it require modules to cut some of the possible tank on the ship and then add other downside to that module to balance it better. Then, since we are piling drawback, make it always active instead of requiring a charge up time. Yeah we could design a module like that I guess...
