Stuck in WH Space

Hey there, folks.
My life as a miner is very boring, so I decided to spice things up a bit. I bought myself a Heron and fitted it accordingly for dangerous exploration ops (Probes, Cloak, Data and Relic Analyzers etc.). Now, the other day I found a WH that lead to unknown space. I bookmarked it, then entered. I also bookmarked the flipside. Once inside, I decided to go run some data sites (which to my disappointment, were filled with Sleepers). I gave up and decided to come back another day with some friends, until my D-Scan picks up a large number of ships pouring in through the same WH I came through. There were things that ranged from Corvax's to Dominix, and a hefty number of Tengus with them. Of course, the Wormhole soon collapsed (having its stability affected by the passing fleet) and I am now stuck in W-Space! I tried going through several other WHs but they just keep leading into space that gets even more dangerous by each jump. How can I get out??

PS: How can I prevent / delay Sleepers from spawning at Relic / Data sites?

Leave the ship and self destruct.

Scan an exit to k space and jump out.

With a cloak, you can work your way slowly if needed back to highsec.

Alternatively, if you don't have the stomach for that, then you need to realise that your ship and pod is nothing to be afraid of losing. If your clone is up to date, leave the ship and self-destruct the pod.

Others I'm sure will have more options for you.

If you're gonna do this, don't leave the ship. Self destruct both ship and pod so you at least get insurance. Leaving the ship only means WHers profit ;)

But yea... just keep scanning down WHs and you'll get out eventually. It helps to use a wormhole system mapper... thingy... website... since they can tell you which WHs (that you peeked into) has a highsec static or not. I always get out of dangerous null exploration by using WHs. It might take you 3 jumps through WHs or 30, it's all worth it as you're "relatively safe" in WHs compared to null anyways.

Either self-destruct your pod, as suggested, or scan your way out.

I understand there are some very nice and helpful third-party websites for mapping wh chains, hopefully some wormhole dude will chime in with more info.

keep on scanning

http://wh.pasta.gg if you want to know what you're guaranteed to find in the hole, though you'll want to find a C3,2 or 1 and go out it's K-space exit

piece of advice, while scanning, look for holes that say "unknown parts of space" or to the effect, not "dangerous unknown parts of space" this means your heading into lower level holes (C6 to C3 for example), these have more chances of having holes back to low or high sec.

It would appear you have all the necessary tools to escape WH space. Congratulations!

Shocked

Been a long time since I've seen a 'Lost In Worm-Hole' thread. Since you have Probes and Cloak, shouldn't take long at all to get back to Empire space.

Good luck to you.

Just keep scanning. Eventually you'll find an exit to NullSec/LowSec/HiSec.

Alternately you can self-destruct.

Ask for help in Local. Try and sound as harmless and pathetic as possible.

It worked for me.

Patience will get you out.

A lot of players use wormholes to travel across New Eden every day.

Generally, the lower class wormholes tend to have highsec and lowsec openings and the more dangerous systems open to nullsec. It's common to have a dangerous system with both nullsec and lowsec openings. Dangerous to highsec openings are rare.

So always seek to go lower in wormhole system class and when you get to class 1 through 3, stay there and scan it every day until you get a wormhole to known space.

I've seen it take 10 minutes to get to known space, and I've seen it take more than 1 week too. So be patient.

Bring back DEEEEP Space!

Scan, scan and scan some more. The WH you are in will have at least one connecting WH. That one will have a connecting WH and so on and so forth. Scan them all. Chances are you'll find a route to hisec or lowsec in one session. Just have to be patient. Get impatient and you'll die.
