I am doing Angel complexes alot in 0.0 space, usualy i find 7/10 , 8/10 and sometimes 10/10 but also alot of non DED rated sites, i noticed however that the drops from them is very poor lately since CCP changed the plexing and sanctums mechanics.
Last night for example i had a final escalation of a provincial HQ wich is pretty much the hardest of them all but when we killed the officer it only dropped a tag and some ammo, usualy this one drops atleast gist x-type modules and a tier overseer.
Reason why i post this mainly is because i hear alot of coalition members complaining about the same issue.
Any ideas if its just bad luck or if ccp just screwed the complexes up?

Sounds like exploration is broken.

Or you're too dumb to comprehend statistics and more specifically, sample sizes.

But your anecdotal evidence is pretty solid. Go with it, bug report it, and just don't do any complexes until they fix the bug you have clearly found.

If the officer dropped just tags and ammo, it is clear that exploration is broken, especially combat sites.

To further support your story, I (my main) once did a Crimson Hand and after 4 rooms of intense combat, the overseer dropped tag, lens and 3 meta2 items.

In my experience named rat in Provincial HQ final escalation never drops OPE. Actually i've never seen OPE in any expedition chain other than *** fleet staging point.

The drops are by chance from the final boss. sometimes you get good drops sometimes you get poor drops. your not gonna get good drops every single time you run a 10/10 their all based off of chance. weather it drops good or poor.

tl;dr Random loot is random

Loot drops are (as far as we players know), independent random events. The probability of getting loot drop the overseer remains the same each time you run it.

· The difficulty of the site does not influence the outcome.
· The risk you took does not influence the outcome.
· The effort you expended does not influence the outcome.
· The amount of empty wrecks you've gotten before this one does not influence the outcome.
· How much karma you've saved up does not influence the outcome.

The only thing you can do to increase your chance of getting more of these random drops is to run more sites!

Sites are an infinite resource (as they continuously respawn).

Your time however, is a finite resource.

Therefore, you need to reduce the amount of time you spend per site so you can run more sites in the same timeframe. The probability per event remains the same, but by repeating the event more often, you get a better chance of getting loot.

If you're doing a non-rated site, and the dice rolls and says you get an escalation, and the dice keeps rolling all the way till the final escalation, it does not mean you are guaranteed or entitled to getting drops from the overseer.

Each of those random events, from getting the next escalation, to having a faction rat spawn, to it dropping decent loot, is an individual event. Just because all of them so far were positive doesn't mean they'll keep going that way.

Probably one of the best posts in terms of explaining how drops in Eve work.

Well said, +1.
