The PI system should be improved so that you can set an extractor/industry unit to produce/extract an item type before clicking "submit" in order to the user to be able to put their entire PI plan in place and making sure they have power grid, CPU for what they want to produce.

The current system does not provide a good user experience beyond just the "clickfest" aspect. You are not being given enough information beforehand to know if your PI plan will work, i.e. have enough powergrid/cpu, without resorting to excel.

Give the user this information ahead of time or provide an in-game means for him/her to get this information.
