Its time. Remove the roqual from the game... And do the following

You might as well. It was always a badly designed ship
It was never worth taking to a belt.
Its been nothing but a p.o.s array giving mining boosts and ore compression for years.
You have murdered the ships purpose by giving its roles away to other things.
Put the ship out of its misery, refund its owners isk, refund people who can fly it sp.
Take the final step and add a p.o.s array that gives mining boosts, as you did its ore compression role.
Use the roqual model for a future expedition ship... make it a crap ton smaller and give it a new name and role.


Or just rebalance the roqual, make it worth taking into a belt... I don't know give it a build cost reduction, a bigger tank and fighter sized mining drones. For the love of cake, just do something soon.

Also, I don't think the Rorquals supposesed to be at a belt. I could be wrong though, I haven't done industry, ever...

Rorqual however has it's uses when you need to jump and setup a POS or other stuff in semi-hostile places, since an ordinary carrier (or JF for that matter) can't do it.

It was designed to be in belt. However its high cost makes it to much of a risk to be taken to a belt. The benefit of taking it to a belt is far too low with the risk of losing so much.. quite high.

I would love a dev / gm to confirm that ccp are aware that the ship has been neglected and is in need of a revamp or to confirm the ship it is being looking at.

I like my rorq boosts, I don't think you can get better boosts.

Unless this is now a "nerf non-highsec miners" thread...

No its not a nerf non-highsec miners thread.. Im trying to get you a buff / revamp. Those boosts are not worth the investment, having a ship that does not leave a p.o.s shield is insane. I want more not less.

You like sitting in a p.o.s doing nothing is what you are saying. The ship is nothing but a large p.o.s array for compressing ore and giving boosts, as the ship is not worth taking into a belt. Now that a p.o.s has been given the roquals compression role, im even more concerned that the ship has no other purpose than a being a boosting array, its train time and build cost is insane for what its being used for.

2nd person who has mentioned high sec. I would be strongly against the rorqual having anything to do high sec. I am simply saying the ship needs revamped. It has given away too many roles to other things, I want devs to look at its risk to reward ratio.. make it worth taking into a null sec belt.

The ship was meant to act as the Orca does. Be out boosting and storing ore in a belt, But then also transforming and compressing the ore. That is not how the ship is being used, and now that it is not needed for compression, I think its time it is given a rebalance.
