WORM is broken and has a huge exploit (and for a long time I guess)

I understand making a petition to inform CCP but what's the point of letting everyone know about this exploit?

Well... I suppose we should mention CCP banned players caught utilizing the Guerista ships exploit before, and this should warn people that CCP now know about this bug and exploiting it will likely get you banned.

Could just be a UI bug, please test done damage shots on another ship.

I have seen this before but it is only UI, and the damage is normal.

It appears to be effective on the first hit of the drones.
Then it's back to normal.
First hit has a huge alpha (Oneshot a vex standard shield, so 1000 dps is about correct), then back to normal...

If anyone can confirm this...

If a person reads about an exploit on the freaking official forums and uses it in the game that person deserves the ban Evil

I hope a lot of people will try it and confirm it's an UI bug.
And if not that CCP will change this...

(after severall tests it might be an UI bug indeed...)

Those numbers you posted seem pretty normal for a Worm using 'Augmented' drones, assuming 2x DDA

Edit: also notice the hit quality notifications. The big number ones are from "smashing" hits, and the lower numbers are, as expected, "grazing" and "hitting" hits.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

those numbers are fine for a worm with augment hobs and 2x DDAs.

those numbers imply that its a UI bug only, especially if it was an armor tanked vexor wich by the looks of those numbers it was.

This is a pretty small sample size and looks about right for 6x a normal drone hit. Although you didn't say, I suspect that Vexor was armor tanked by the fact that the first two "Smashes" hits are for 451 and 410 while the third is for 229 where I'd expect the Vexor to be in armor. Likewise first "Penetrates" is for 352 (probably low shield) and the second pair is for 206 and 181 (probably armor). The "hit" being for less damage than the "grazes" is pretty telling as well.

I don't really see first hit trouble here so much as I see damage vs. untanked shields and damage vs. tanked armor. If I'm way off base here then please clarify. If all of these hits were against either shields or armor and against the same ship with the same setup then you might be on to something.

In the meantime if you suspect you have discovered an exploit then you did the right thing by petitioning it. I suspect it is just a UI bug as well but if you're not convinced then to avoid any trouble for yourself, don't do it any more until you have an official response.

Reality has an almost infinite capacity to resist oversimplification.

every now and then the fitting window just seems to give crazy numbers. I've yet to actually have a godmode ship so I'm guessing it is a display bug.

Given how slow CCP tends to be at times to react to issues like these, the best thing is to bring it out in the open so that it won't keep lingering on for 1-2 more weeks where people do abuse it (that is, if it's a real issue). So it shortens the time between people knowing about, CCP waking up and then making statements on it.

On top of that any moron who thinks "that sounds like a really cool exploit, lets use that" will get an easy ban. I really do hope tons of people try this.

First of all, you're a couple weeks too late, the exploit with super drones has been discovered already.

Secondly, if you think have discovered an exploit, the terms of service require that you NOT post anything about it on the official forums.

Submit a petition to the GMs, and let them handle it.

Blowing it out of proportion isn't going to make them able to code the exploit out of the game any faster, it just gives them more cleanup to do afterward, and more people get banned.

Proliferating knowledge of an exploit is literally the worst thing you can possibly do, and it rightly carries the punishment of being banned.

I just thought it was a bad idea to make explots pubic but didn't know it was against the TOS and could get you banned.
