Greetings My Eve.

On the previous video HXii Velites I mentioned that there was going to be a series of releases.
Due to various reasons the schedule went out the hangar bay along with me undocking to PvP through winter,
and having problems finding inspiration for background music to fit the theme (along with subpar taste in general).

After making time to buckle up I finally got through the process with a final result to present for your entertainment.
Note: For the final render I ran into crash issues, so the release is from a backup with a few tweaks missing.
I'm not sure if they can be sorted within a reasonable timeframe, and it's about as final as I wanted it anyways.

Excellent video. Great fights and the editing is top notch. Great job with the info box, but it is abit too dark to see properly.

Awesome video and great editing.

The last fight was pretty funny. I was just trying to solo the nomen and all my corpmates were ramming you in random ships. o7 to my kitchen sink gang lel. At least I got Taor's nomen slaying in vidya to compensate :). The dunking of those exodus nerds was great as well.

That is the general consensus which is also why we're quite aggressive in engagement style.
We've had some pretty great fights against Calamitious Intent, but they never got frapsed due to standard reasons of forgetting and laziness in fraps compression to free up space.

Not since May, but one have to get inspiration from somewhere.
Also helps by not having N+1 ships in hangar ending with "...Cats"..

Yeah the contrast is a bit off with the dark red kill text and the Minmatar ships especially.
Will tweak those a bit for the next ones.

Was a great fight overall which includes the 30 minute prelude to it with maneuvering from both sides until the BWF grid.
Generally the type of skirmishing we love and are fairly good at.

Bolded and underlined the key part of the sentence.

Thank you to the rest for the comments and glad it was enjoyable.
Also noticed that ~10-15 managed to find the ninja link in the original post. Smile

On personal note of the video. This may not be everyone's cup of tea as the footage is running at 150% throughout for ease of adding a (mostly) clean comms to it.
I figured with most others releasing the usual 250-400% action themes this type might be of an alternative interest to showcase the 2-5 man gangs in its controlled chaos.

This is one of the things that makes your video great. I have found that there is a really fine balance between being boring and too fast when you want to catch all the details. It helps alot to vary the playspeed throughout the video but that just adds a ton of work to the editing.

You have managed it pretty well. I have seen videos where they "cheat" with editing allowing them to play the video faster than the comms, but it takes much work to manually align it.

On the Velites which was the prototype there was 150-180% playback, but the comms part towards the higher speed just got too much, and especially with my bad habit of talking (quite) a bit too fast.

At 150% it allows a very effective use of PitchShifter in Premiere.
Add PitchShifter as effect for the audio of the fraps footage and set the pitch at -7 semi-t without Formant Preserve.
At 180% it required -11 semi-t.

In theory variable playback is "easy", but as you said even with the above method it would still add quite a bit more work to line things up.

Excellent editing job, although the fights weren't exactly my cup of tea to watch. Maybe because they seemed a little too slow to me What? . Fun fight that was in BWF with you guys though.
