Because uhh... I kickstarted SC too, so I can confirm that the whole project is nothing but a shitebasket of incompetence and customer buggery.

I've never seen a game go from a reasonable proposal from an indy studio to full-on megaconglomerate Nazism is such a short period of time, and abuse their customers so blatantly and without shame for exorbitant amounts of money in exchange for digital items.

Not even online casinos try this crap.

If the video game industry were a playground and EA was the big bully, RSI was the quiet kid who buried the bully behind the groundskeepers shed without anyone noticing the violent dismemberment or spine-chilling screams, and then took over his turf with mafia-quality blackmail tactics, inflation and protection rackets.

And it's not the fact that they're doing it that really bothers me. It's seeing how many people willingly dole out more and more money for a non-existent game while trying to control their rampant and painful priapism brought on by the careful marketing and propaganda, which is easily fact-checked and proven false on a regular basis. Just the idea that people aren't screaming "WHOA WHOA JE*** HOLY **** MAN! SLOW DOWN AND PLEASE TAKE YOUR FINGERS OUT OF BOTH MY WALLET AND MY SPHINCTER!" at every turn is horrifying.

I really wish I was that smart. If I knew how, or had the willpower to strip myself of my humanity, to shear sheep like RSI I'd own a pacific island for every day of the week by now.

Building other games I think is where it is going, as well as paying the current staff of EVE Online as well obviously.
