I might as well ...

So, what I did a while ago was thinking about ways to present a character
somehow that makes it more pleasureable for the viewer.

A more continuing experience.

So I looked at plattforms for this and noticed that imgur actually does this,
even when it's not immediately obvious and it eats bandwith a lot,
because I keep using FullHD pictures......

Images are at 50%, but it's not noticeable when viewed on imgur.


What you should see once you click the topleft image,
is said image in the middle of the screen ...
... with a long line of images at the bottom.

You can scroll through them using your mousewheel,
which I believe is suuuuuper convenient ! ;)



I really have no idea about the loading times.
I also don't know if the browser precaches all the upcoming images or not,
so you might want to try and wait a bit once you clicked the first image.

Or you go through slowly and wait until they're all cached,
so you can enjoy a smoother experience afterwards.

If someone knows a better plattform for this,
shout it at me in a mail, in ALL CAPS!

Posting in a stealth "Suck up to the CCP dev" thread... He couldn't find a CCP dev with a female character I guess.


Am I the only one that doesn't care what the character looks like other than the ten minutes I spent making it? You can't interact with anyone in your character form. How about a "Most handsome and beautiful spaceship" thread?

I care. I look at people's portraits all the time, and appreciate when someone's put in the work and done it well. It has little to do with the game itself, but I still count it as part of my EVE experience.

There is no possible way to disconnect the avatar and it's portrait from the person behind.
Even if you do not care about it, it's still an expression of a part of yourself.
In this case, that you don't care about it enough. (that's seriously superficially speaking, but still true)



Portraits have a meaning. There is no way that a human looks at an image and doesn't react
in one way or the other, even if the reaction is to not care about it and move on.


First impressions always count, even for pixel images.
As long as it's a human, it works.


Portraits transport feelings.
It's a message.


There is so much more that could be done,
that would add tons of depths and possibilities ...

... and I am not talking about WiS, because I don't give a crap about WiS ...


... but we are not being heard even at the early stage.


They added no clothes at the last release, which is sad.

There was a hint at HAIRSTYLES!

CAN YOU IMAGINE???

I'd buy two PLEX just to buy ******* HAIRSTYLES! O:

There's a multitude of reasons why CCP should pay more attention to this, us, whatever,
because we, even the lousiest roleplayers, create content literally every day for everyone involved.
