You know when you go afk for 15 minutes to run to the corner store for some eggs and milk, and how that one convo you really needed to talk with came in JUST as you left?

What if there was a button or option in the EVE Mail options (where else to put it?) that would auto-reply to any incoming convos with a simple customization message, no more than 100 characters lets say. It would be a very nice feature for those who who might find themselves AFK for a short period of time but awaiting an important private convo.

So basically what you're saying is that you want an AFK auto-reply feature so that people know when you're vulnerable and unable to do anything about them killing your ship and then your pod and then molesting your frozen corpse with a creamsicle.

Am I reading your post correctly? Are you really saying you want to give away free intel like that?

It's not that hard to check if someone is afk or not.

Just give them a friendly bump.

Very hard if someone is docked and not on the same coms as you, or any coms at all.

And drinking more

Antagonize them a bit further for being angsty and/or a nullbear...

You're getting the idea, keep following the thought to it's logical conclusion. Lol

+1 because I want to see more failed CODE gankings when they're being too lazy to get intel and jump on a battle barge they thought was AFK and squishy.

Gotta love what happens when CODE jumps on linked barges.

Replace that general afk answering machine with afk flag that you can set in specific chat channels (corp chat for practical reasons, local for CODE reasons).

Pretty sure OP wantd this as a checkbox fucntion, so YOU can turn it on if you have to leave and dont want to miss someone who might be trying to convo you about something important, that you can then turn off when youre back.

I think OP just wants to know when he has a afk cloaky in system so he doesn't have to stay docked up

No, Nariya was right. This would be an option that you would have to opt in in order to have it happen, not a timer-based event.

I like this idea.
We can communicate from one end of the known galaxy to the other, even through wormholes and while cloaked, but somehow New Eden forgot to invent the answering machine.
