Hows that F1 button holding up?

Looks like you are having a boring old time there in SNUFD's legendary US TZ. I think you have more posts this month than kills.

Pretty much this. I've streamed tons of fights and offensives, the only thing that was different this time is that Gal Mil lost a fight, and I got blamed for it. They lost that fight more because they took 30 brawling cruisers and put them against 70 something other brawling cruisers than because they were streamed. Prior to that fight the stream was up for 4 hours with nothing but Gallente victories, including a Shield AF fleet dunking a Bohica Ishtar fleet.

I do the streams to show folks how much fun we have in FW and to promote our style of fighting, which is quite a bit different from other areas of Eve's PVP. The comments claiming fame whoring are a bit off as I've been a public face in Eve for nearly 8 years now and am reasonably well known as it is. I don't need twitch to promote myself.

What I DO want is a more robust, and larger FW community out in space fighting. Twitch is a far better medium to promote that cause than radio or blogging. I can tell people how awesome the fun we have is until I'm blue in the face, but nothing beats actually showing it.

I've discussed the incident in question with several of our FCs, and we've worked things out since the youtube meltdown. A couple people's feelings are still hurt, which can't be helped any further at this point, and the rest of us have moved on. The small gang stuff I do is likely to continue to be relatively free of delay and censored information, but any fleet action moving forward will likely have several minutes of delay and parts of the screen covered based on the discretion of the FC for that fleet.

I've said before and I'll say again since you want to keep talking about it, we would have lost that fight with or without the stream, that one fight wasn't why people were so angry at you. Five hours of streaming without mentioning you were streaming everything with only a 45 second delay and showing intel channels and including all of fleet coms is why people were and are angry.

During a system siege you will lose fights, you will win fights. Being outnumbered 2 to 1 you will lose more than you win, you just try to slow down their ability to complete plexes and put stress on their logistics by killing their fleet critical ships before you go down.

P.S. We miss yah Dread, hope you are having fun.

Dudes an imbecile,

I have no interest in the outcome of a single fight. In relation to this matter i have only one interest. Security. Unapologetic real time broadcasting of most aspects of our militia security is absolutely unforgivable imo and highlights an abject lack of intelligence.

BNANA have been informed that they can TWITCH their comms channel freely, but not other corps channels. Since BNANA has zero militia level FC's and a fairly small (but appreciated) participation in militia activities, their CEO and certain key members persistent arguments that their activities were not a net negative to our militia goals is absurd.

Its nice that they have sought permission for more recent broadcasting of gallente activities, though, im still not sure what the benefit of TWITCH is to us.

Most viewers were aligned against gellente and just laughed at one of our most dedicated FC's as he expressed disgust at the actions of an obscure gallente character in a minor gallente alliance trading our security against his own popularity. Something that no other corp or alliance in eve would tolerate.

Lets be honest, im pretty sure BNANA are not going to be TWITCHing their pre match practices for the alliance tournament.

To be fair, we're talking about several months here, not hours, as Abannan has already mentioned. That was just that night. One of us has had stream up as part of almost every major gallente offensive this year, with the same stuff in it and delay. Not every minute of every day, but a few hours here and there. That night was the first time it had blown up like that, and it didn't blow up until after that fight.

To prove our point we had another stream up the following night, with 80+ people viewing again, only we did our own fleet fluctuating between 5-7 guys. I made sure to tag it on Twitter where I have several Caldari followers.

With all of the "blue intel" provided, a 3 week old character that was with us lost a pair of derp ships due to pilot error because he's still learning to fly, we took no other losses, capped several plexes in okkamon the the main fleet didn't touch, spent more TIME in action in Okkamon than the main fleet on account of not needing to reship constantly, and scored over 2 dozen kills. You guys drew a couple larger fights we were able to support, while the rest of our time was spent plugging gaps in plex coverage. I'd like to think we did our part that night while not exposing you guys to the dangers of streaming.

Now we can keep hashing this out all you like, but as I've mentioned, I believe we have this worked out moving forward, and the past can't be changed so...

in other words, BNANA who ****** us one day and had 6 guys in plex the next, that we would have easily covered (though usually they were just in the same plex as us keeping them safe), won the war for the rest of gallente who fought for okkamon for a week previous.

I'm sure DJ Bacon has done a lot more good than bad overall for gal mil. Between EVE radio fleets on fridays (from a cal mil perspective, i recall those fleets reaching upwards of 100 members at times over a year ago when I lived in enaluri) and streams i'm sure that the publicity has steered hundreds of players towards joining gal mil over time (obviously there's not going to be 100% retention on that). A 5 minute delay and replacing comms (for serious fleets) with some good music won't hurt going forward though.

I do not know of a single person in gal mil that joined because of eve radio.

I personally dont even know a single eve radio listener.

This is not hyperbole, i honestly dont know who listens to eve radio (apart from elijah Ghost), though i do remember them making me tune in while funky bacon and elijah spend an hour on air failing to recruit me to BNANA.

Thats why there was 5 hours of sensitive broadcasting without us having any clue.

Crosi, I was actually hoping you would turn up here. It's a nice change to see you coming to me in public over the sneaky sneaky stuff you were trying to pull the other day. :)

As i have mentioned to you personally, due to your inability to confront people you have problems with directly, I won't be working with you any further on anything. Fortunately, since you mostly fly a Maulus and other assorted T1 frigs, and are never seen in anything larger than a cruiser (and rarely at that), I won't be missing out on much. As you've also stated you've no desire to work with me, this can be considered a mutual distaste, though perhaps for different reasons (you think I'm an idiot, while I'm under the impression you lack balls).

The benefit of twitch I have already covered:

We spend large portions of our twitch broadcasts fielding questions about FW to people curious about it, and those thinking of joining. We give general advice to people new to the game, and talk about Eve to people who don't even play and are wondering if it's worth giving it a go.

Your attempts to insult me aside, the "Most viewers were aligned against gellente and just laughed at one of our most dedicated FC's" part is only true because the stream viewership jumped by almost 60 once several members of gal mil (with full knowledge they were being broadcast live) decided to begin raging. That can be attributed to the Caldari fleet popping in to catch a very dramatic display. Neutral folks who were present also greatly enjoyed the display, including former QCATS pilot JonnyPew, who found it exceptionally amusing knowing those involved.

As a relatively well known broadcaster of Eve related things for many years now, I have enough self control to not say things I might regret later while being recorded or broadcast. Unfortunately that night, there were a few people who did not possess that same self control. Their embarrassment is a result of their own actions, though you certainly would not be remiss in saying that they would not have embarrassed themselves so publicly if I had cut the audio at that point.

As I've already mentioned, because I have a great deal of respect for the people I tend to fly with (yourself excepted) I spoke with several FCs, and have changed the way we will be handling streaming moving forward. Our own fleets will remain unchanged, while fleets run by other FCs outside of our alliance will be at that FC's discretion. Everyone seems to be fine with this resolution, though some (like yourself) see fit to continue to rage about things I obviously can't go back and change, even though you are also satisfied with how things will be handled in the future.

My suggestion to you (which you are free to ignore) is that if you are satisfied with how things will be handled from here, and with the fact that you need not worry about me joining any fleet you are in moving forward, please calm down and take some deep breaths. There is nothing to be gained by you continuing this tirade.

You seem adamant at streaming our AT practice sessions. I already did that =/

I can guarantee they got nothing useful from it, other than a bunch of new players and some experienced guys trying to not make weed, **** and fart jokes and actually come up with a strategy... which has since changed, but that was streamed too!

Mirana already told me you guys are gonna be out in 2 matches, seems a bit defeatist but i guess mirana knows better than i do.
