Shield Slave and Armour Crystal Implant Sets - Why U No Exist?

I feel Like these should be introduced Into the game. It would give players more options when fitting ships and allows for more creative things to happen with them.

This idea has been suggested many many times, and the reason why it has not been implemented, is because CCP wants to keep the 2 tanking styles somewhat different.

Armour focusing more on buffer and staying power, while shield is more focused on short bursts of massive active tanking capability.

FYI: The current meta has shield doing both (and the latter permanently) on top of no mobility restrictions.

Both are still possible, but they both have their drawbacks.
Sure, shields have no speed penalty, but they do have a larger sig radius, which in turn, makes it easier for them to get hit (this can be a big factor in fights)

But please, let's not start the discussion about this again, because then we'll be here forever.

The crystals also don't apply to capitals.

Could be worse. 30k local tanks are possible without ASB on vargurs.

Crystals are a bit OP to be honest. Wouldn't mind seeing them cut down by 20% or something.

I don't support adding Armor Crystals or Shield Slaves either. Would homogenize the tank styles. There should be reasons to pick shields vs armor, beyond the slot layout of the ship.

Also, cap boosters. Shield boosters need to reduce tank each time they add a cap booster. The same does not apply to armor booster.

Now imagine an Armor Crystal triple-rep Myrm with 3 x Cap Boosters. Lol

Yes because if they had a shield slave set my nice little passive tanked rattlesnake wouldn't get ANY huge bonuses to passive regen. BTW its currently sitting at over 1k passive regen not counting resists, now imagine it with almost 50% bonus shields.

When the recent implant changes were introduced on to the forums, we let fozzie know how messed up and useless/overpowered some implant sets were. Fozzie even went on to admit they may need a rework and balance changes.

This is an excellent point, +1 like for it.

People really need to take into consideration that triple shield extender rigs doesn't just add buffer, but also shield regain. It's most likely for the same balance reason that you don't have a shield equivalent to armour layering. Imagine having midslots that gave +15% shield HP. I mean, shield resists are already OP as ship bonus from skill!
No, I think introducing shield equivalents of slave implants would be bad.

I don't see the same intrinsic problem with armour equivalents to Crystals, although I guess on the flipside, why should armour have it?
