WTF is this BS with the drone avionics skill CCP?

I found that my Drone Avionics was reduced to 4 when I tried to fit a ship yesterday afternoon. I petitioned it, and the skill is back at V by this morning.

All I got in response to my petition is that they were looking into it and a link to 2 threads.
But while they wait fixing it I can't get my ISK making running, I need that range, especially as my main ratting toon is down to 3....

I want it fixed, I'm gonna miss out on 1 B because I usually run in the weekends....

I got the copy/pasted response, but upon checing my character, the skill was back to V. There was no mention of it being fixed in the petition response.

Skill at V, log says GM "gift" lvl 4, can`t use DLA II, cleared cache, the same...this is after the downtime too...

Better invest time into training it, if the change was so synthetic it could have been undone, it can happen again, and again...

Furthermore, I'm almost 100% certain I had Scout and Combat Drone Operation V trained (which turned into Drone Avionics), and it's now at Level IV. The reason I suspect this is that I have it trained on my main *and* my second alt. It's not something I would have neglected on this character, especially since it's a requirement for T2 DLAs, which are a Capswarm requirement. I'd even eat the 4d1h to get it back up to Level V, but...

When I try to add it to queue and start it? No dice.
When I try to force-train it by right-clicking it and telling it to override the current queue? No dice.
Clearing my cache? No dice.

I want to sell this character eventually. He has more than 157m SP, and not having such a basic yet wholly necessary skill for such a character to have (especially in the era of carriers being the new 'battleship') is a big hole in his sheet, but I'm suspecting that "skill points" is one of those "will get to before the heat death of the universe" priorities at CCP support.

No, you are trying to rewrite history. A month before the patch went live DLA's on Sisi needed Light Drone Operation to use, not Drone Avionics. The Change of skill to drone avionics was a very last minute change. People were asking questions about it yes, but there was not a skill reallocation issue till a week before the patch went live. Which was when Sisi changed the skill over.

I created a thread which ended up being on the front page of GD for around a month, so I remember events well. Everyone seemed to believe that combat drone operation, which was now being changed to drone avionics, would unlock the DLAII.

Singularity is never very accurate either, so I wouldn't trust anything which is on there is going to be implemented on to Tranquillity exactly as seen.

The point is, they didn't listen and did multiple u turns before the actual release date. And there was absolutely no response to the DLA issue which was flagged up multiple times. If you can link me a response from CCP on this issue then that would make your case a lot stronger, but I doubt that you can, and I can link multiple posts of people flagging up the DLA issue including from myself.

Hopefully you can see why I have little sympathy for them at this time.

As an idiot who misread the dev blog about the drone changes and trained CDO to V instead of SDO, I don't feel so bad anymore...

At least I wasn't the only one upset about having to train drone avionics to level 5 again. On the other hand now I will get more distance with my drones. *sigh* now to train my sh*t back up again. *Palm to forehead*

Two of the three characters I had this happen to have been fixed in-game (with no petition submitted). ...

Edit: Actually, nope, still not fixed. Character sheet shows 5, but can't fit a DLA2.

Same here.
EVEMon says the skill is at 4 at 18% trained. in-game it shows at 5 so even if I wished to train it, i can't.
But my Drone Link Augmentor II insists that I don't have the prerequisites, even if I do and it shows that in the item's Info/Requirements.

Yea....

Sort of the same problem here.

This morning I logged on and noticed that I couldn't use my DLA2's on my mission ship anymore. I looked at my skills and my Drone Avionics was "gifted" to level 3....

I thought the update just screwed me so I tried to train it, and I got that illegal skill queue crap.

I filled out a ticket and a bug report (yes, both of them, I was in panic mode) and logged on a few hours later and was able to queue the skill again, which still doesn't help my DLA2's that are already fitted and now useless...but hey, if I got screwed out of the level 5 skill I can at least queue the 4 days if needed.

I just noticed that my Drone Avionics is at IV when it should be at V. CCP should have just reimbursed the old Scout Drone Operation and Combat Drone Operation skill points and given everyone 2 remaps then none of this would be happening.
