Anyone else suddenly have skads of highsec wormholes in their low-class hole? I logged in today to five of them for a total of seven new wormholes in my home C3.

yes theres extensive wormhole spawn now and in a c1 static high wormhole having 2 high 1 low 1 null is not anomaly its standard from now

the new lowsec spawns for highclass are 'great' too

great as in they won't allow caps, aka they're ****.

had to find that out the hard way while trying to move a couple, luckily from empire to w-space and not the other way around

Should wait a little and get some decent samples. Just cause one c1 got lots of connections doesn't say that's someting new.

Else, random is random.

Yes, this is totally a new mechanic.

and not a lot of people scanning into Wspace because there is a new mini-expansion that just went live.

Scanned eight other low class holes - similar results. K to W holes seem to have doubled/tripled in frequency.

Pretty cool of CCP to tell us about this change. Roll

So is this considered a complaint or a nice new feature?

Depends if it gets fixed. If it does, then it was a new feature. If it doesn't then it's a complaint.

I've studied the situation. It's what is known as a 'conflict driver'.

It sucks. Wormholes have always sucked, but now they're worse. At least CCP can top itself, I guess?

I've not yet experienced WH spawn rate changes from the point-of-view of a WH resident. However, before this expansion, there was a huge increase in WH's in Low sec (mostly to other Lows and Nulls).

Apparently, it came to CCP's attention that one of the most celebrated things about LS was its connectivity via WHs. They took this as justification to dramatically increase the amount of WHs in Low sec. Now LS is spammed up horribly with WH sigs that few are using. It's like CCP heard that sprinkles on ice cream was much loved, so now they've drowned everything in sprinkles.

The ISK is already comparatively poor in WHs (sub C5). Now it sounds like CCP want to "fix" WH's by forcing anyone in lower class holes to run their sites completely vulnerable to attack from many possible entrances. If this is true, then sane people will be leaving those systems or running sites in destroyers or some such (goodbye to the shiny WH kills that we used to love).

Is it more wormholes or do the old ones not disappear anymore?
I read that some have longer timers then before(might be a bug)... .

No local in null sec would fix everything!

I lol'd.

But seriously yes, chains are crazy these days, wormholers may not soon be the super scary people that only sometimes show up. We will lose our luster !

The only people id think likely to reverse that back on top of us would be some low seccers, may have an influx of mini invasions soon, better check your death stars for ammo!
