Shares can be purchased here: http://www.bsacse.amxg4.com/stocks/index.php?id=BSAC

I am currently selling over 400,000 shares at 35,000 ISK each. I'll lower the price by 1000 ISK every second day until they are all sold.

To purchase the shares, you need an account for the BSAC Stock Exchange. To create one, follow the instructions listed here. After you have an account, deposit the ISK into the account. After that, you buy the shares using the page listed above.

For information about the BSAC CSF, see the expansion thread here.

According to the July 2011 Financial Report, there are 6,073,600 shares. Of that 6 million shares, I currently own 1,214,518 shares. After the sale of these shares, I'll still have just under 800,000 shares.

But still do you get shares in a actual form, beacause from what i know BSAC Stock Exchange dosn't operate them like that. I may be wrong.

Am I right in thinking that these shares have returned an average of 2.65% per month at their intrinsic value of 10k over the last six months (considerably less than the 3.5-4% that was claimed in the initial offering)? If so, doesn't a 35k starting price seem a little unrealistic as anyone buying at that price can only expect monthly returns of c. 0.75%?

The shares are virtual. These shares do not use the in game share system.

I've been paying close attention to what the shares have been selling for. In the last 2 months, approximately 200,000 shares have sold at 35k each or higher. I started with a 500,000 share order at 35k two weeks ago and have sold 80,000 in that time. If people are buying at that price, I do not think it is too high a starting price.

Wow! Of course you're right that if people are buying at that price then the price iis fine. But ... wow! ... people really are buying at that price! Shocked

To be fair, since all BSAC shares are in the BSAC exchange and they are run by the same guy, there doesn't seem to be much additional risk with virtual shares in this case. The real danger is 3rd party shares in the BSAC exchange. Moving your shares to the exchange adds an additional risk factor and not being able to take them out means you will take a permanent reduction in resale value once you move them in.

The reason shares are registered with the Exchange is to allow for real-time trades. It is very easy to trade in the Exchange. You can either buy from outstanding orders or you can place your own buy and sell orders in the exchange. Dividends are paid to your account and can withdrawn anytime.

BSAC acts as a third-party to all transactions free of charge and the integrity of the stock ledger can be easyly verified by the CEOs at any time. During the last two month along the Exchange conducted well over 100 Billion ISK in transactions.

This is reminding me of the impending Groupon IPO. Groupon is pricing their IPO higher because of overwhelming demand for shares in a company that is so far losing in excess of $300m a year and will require a reworked business model to ever make a profit.

At least BSAC Capital ships are generating returns! Smile
