Ok so I tried out w-space after a time in Null and not finding it to my liking.

Got a drake with t2 HAM, comes up to about 550 dps and I find a hole to a C2, its got an active tower but no one appears to be around and I decide to risk it.

I started with a Perimeter Checkpoint and I come in and the spawns as quite a way off from me so I move towards them, the enemy react and I start taking damage, not much of an issue I can kill them before my shields fail. No luck, by the time I've killed the first spawn the warning buzzer has already gone off. Then the second group spawns in.

Realising that I'm not going to make it I loot 2 of the nearby wrecks and warp out.

I only get 900'000 ISK out of it.

I decided that it was pointless at this stage and exited the hole.

I thought you could make 100m ISK per hour in w-space? Or is that only in C6 systems with capitals by corps with 50m SP skill requirements?

Either way it appears another route to vast amount of quick ISK is over.

nearly all the isk in c2 are from nano ribbons so unless you finish and salvage the site you wont make much at all

If you are day tripping into WHs for ISK you're going to love the locals Big smile

That being said. If you want to make any ISK out of C2s then you need to salvage the wrecks. Melted Nanoribbons are what thee be after. Also you're doing it in a HAM Drake with only 400 odd dps Shocked get those skils up. Alternatively, switch to a Heavy Drake, while you're not going to damage other players, you will damage the sleepers and you will be able to hit out further.

In a C2 in a Drake it's the other players that you need to watch out for. If you have a choice to run combat sites (warpable immediatly) or data sites (have to scan them out) always go to the data first. Usually more ISK and if someone wants you they have to scan you out (if they dont have the site pre scanned).

You want a high omni tank (roughly 70 across the board) and a high shield recharge rate (use purgers and shield rechargers). Bare in mind that you will be 100% PvE fit so you will die to a PvP boat. Alternatively using a PvP Drake can work, but because of the HAM range you need to move around a lot more to get in range and actually apply damage. Which means sites take considerably longer.

Bare in mind that MTU and Mobile Depots can be used, but they are extremely easy to scan out.

I dunno if this helps or if you have given up completely, but wormholes are great fun.

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."

Range to target is the issue. Hml Drake or tengu. Caracals and cerbs can run c2 easily as well.

I'm right behind you

From my experience C2 sites are very varied - largely due to the point corbexx makes - you could run one site and only make single digit millions then run another and make 5+ times as much.

That's better. Smile

But as the poster above me stated, the distance to target is the issue. Having to burn to get in range adds a lot more time that neccessary in a site. Not to mention by the time you get there, they have smashed your shields to pieces. And if youre using an MWD then your Cap is shot by half way through (can be).
