These people are over reacting.

Please add Galactic News to every gate in Catch on both sides as it makes the game more immersive . Undock pop ups would be nice too.

I don't mind getting the ingame message.... I just loathe how the message is delivered.

It is a big popup in the middle of the screen that demands your immediate attention. This information is NOT important enough to warrant such a prominent display. The message really should be delegated to the local window, perhaps as colored chat similar to mission messages.
