Starting 7 days ago, the siege of Okkamon begins. We've waited long enough for good fights from the Caldari farmlitia, and since the gud fites have not been forthcoming...we will be coming to them.

The goal is system control. Many ships will be lost. Much fun will be had.

If there's anything I've learned from this experience, it's don't stream your fleets involving Perunga. Also I'm sure he's a happy man now.

Battle report from 16-25 July 2014 for Okkamon:

Summary:

- About 1400 pilots lost 61 Billion, with 3300 ships and 350 pods destroyed. This doesn't include losses in nearby Reitsato and Rakapas.
- Gallente lost about 50% of the 1400 ships they fielded, totaling 18 Billion in ships and pods.
- Caldari / Amarr lost about 75% of the 1800 ships they fielded, totaling 25 Billion in ships and pods.
- Random neutrals lost about 15% of the 225 ships they fielded, totaling about 9.5 Billion in ships and pods.

This was one of the harder invasions we've managed to pull off. In addition to being a 2 jump reship, we fielded about 250 pilots to the 450 that participated on the Caldari side, plus 150+ neutrals playing their usual games. Props to the Caldari for coming out to defend Okkamon.

How long till someone sets up an asakai/okkamon gate camp and/or cloaky bumpers and gankers on station, to destroy the caldari assets that are being moved out?

You would be surprised, I think, given the logistical coherence on your side, how many Caldari assets are not there. The last couple of days actually involved a whip-round to buy and move in the ships needed for that day. Rather astoundingly, many Caldari corps do not keep several thousand plexing frigates in their home systems to hand out free to people who join the defence.

Caldaris had a good autz in laneys corp and smooks but you guys chose not to help them with enaluri and then u lost them

You have to at least make people pay for their own ships. Even in derps, 2mil for each ship adds up fast.

If you don't want to get reimbursed for your fitting and shopping efforts, then use the extra money to pay for more JF runs to come into system. You can't put the burden of expense on the experienced pilots, everybody can earn money in FW.

Yeah, only thing Caldari have left is some angry 8-14 day Russian chars complaining in militia that we don't keep T2 up for them to pad their wallets.

The lack of proper action on the supply side is not insignificant and corps on our side really need to make solving it a priority.

Despite that, this one was really lost in the AU tz. It's incredibly dispiriting for the pilots who are on in EU and US primetime to hold their ground and even push the contested level back over 16 hours and then find that the opposition are plexing practically unopposed with less than 20 guys for 6-8 hours each day and grabbing an extra 15-25% system control. This has been a clear issue with the last few system defence battles but trying to find a solution for it is very hard.
